June was breathing deeply as Tony tried to phone for help.
"Damn!" he shouted angrily, she looked up at him.
"What!"
"No signal and low battery." he muttered shaking his head.
"Tony you have to do something!"
"I know...I am trying." He stopped still, and watched her.
"Ugh!" She cried out grasping her stomach.

Jim was in CSU on the phone. He put it down rather abruptly and frowned.
"What's up?" Brandon asked noticing the expression on his friends face.
"I can't get through to June." He sighed.
"I haven't seen her in a while." He stated.

June grabbed Tony's hand.
"Tony.... I want Jim." She moaned squeezing his fingers.
"I can't.... I don't know what to do." He said helplessly, "Um... I heard that it's better if you walk around."
"You try doing this and bloody well walking around!"
"It helps honestly... or it makes it worse I forget." He scratched his head.
"Tony! You're supposed to help me!"
"I don't want to be here any more than you do!"
"Oh here comes another one." She cried closing her eyes.

"Erm have you seen June?" Jim fumbled as he passed Polly in the corridor.
"No why?"
"I can't find her anywhere and she isn't answering her mobile"
"Come on I'll help you look for her. Have you tried the canteen?"
"It was the first place I looked." He mumbled as he rushed back down the hall.

June was walking along the road. Tony was holding her hand,
"Agh!" She grasped Tony's hand and leant against the car. "I didn't think it would be this bad." She cried.
"Are you okay?
"No!" She shouted angrily.
"Oh" he looked at her. She cried out again, "That was close." He told her.
"Mmmm" She squeezed his hand. They saw a car driving towards them. Tony flagged it down and a young man stopped and got out.
"Sir I need to use your car." Tonys voice had taken on a somewhat pleading tone.
"Forget it!" He told him.
"Look she's in labour. The car's broken down and..."
"No Im sorry." He was about to get into the car. June waddled over to him, stubbornly grabbing his arm.
"If you think I'm having my baby here you are seriously mistaken now you can get into your car and drive us to a Agh!" She clung to the young mans shirt.
"Hospital." Tony finished off her sentence.

Jim was in the canteen staring into a cold cup of coffee when his phone went. "Hello... Tony?" He asked. "What!" He asked jumping up out of his seat. "St Hughes?" he repeated, "I'll be right there." He pushed his phone into his jacket pocket and ran from the room, the rest of the afternoon shift watching.

Tony helped June as they both got out of the car she held he stomach.
"Oh...it's coming God!" She cried.
"What is? ...The baby ... oh...uh." He practically dragged her through the doors. "Help!" He shouted, grabbing a nurse near the desk.
"Get a wheelchair." The nurse ordered taking a quick glance at June.
"Tony.... wheres Jim?" She cried.
"He's on his way June I called him."
She smiled briefly before closing her eyes again.

Jim ran all the way from his car, abandoning it at the corner of the hospital car park. Somehow he weaved his way through the corridors to the room where June was; luckily hed taken such an interest in this whole birthing process hed remembered exactly where they had shown them round the hospital in preparation. He heard June scream and pushed open a sterile white door.
June was squeezing onto Tonys hand, a fine sheen of sweat covering her face. She breathed deeply and looked up at the door, instantly letting go of Tonys hand and reaching for him.
"June" he said breathlessly moving over to her. Tony slowly walked out.
"Jim"she cried, and he hugged her. She held him tight, "it's too soon" She said into his chest.
"It's okay.... we'll be alright."
"No I dont think I can do this." She looked up helplessly at him.
Of course you can sweetie. He kissed her forehead. Besides its a bit late to change your mind now. He took hold of her hand. Well be okay.
She smiled up at him briefly then grimaced again. "Agh!" As she cried the nurse looked up at her from the machine.
"Okay June it's time to start pushing now." She smiled reassuringly.
June looked at her obviously worried.

Polly found Tony sitting outside their room, forehead resting in his hands.
"Tone..." She started,
"Poll.... what are you doing here?" He asked.
"Jim rang me." She said, "you?"
"I was with June".
Jim gripped Junes hand; by this time Doctor had joined them.
"1...2...3" The nurse started, the doctor stood at the other end of the bed.
"Agh!" June pushed. She was holding Jim's hand and despite her pain couldnt help but notice how he was shaking, he leant forward wiping her forehead.
She stopped pushing, resting back against the plump pillows exhausted.
"Very good June...one more." The nurse told her.
"It's gonna be okay June." He lightly kissed her forehead.
"Jim I'm so scared." She cried.
"I know," he told her softly, "but just think about what we'll have when all this is over." He told her.
"Okay are you ready?" The doctor asked and June nodded wearily.1...2...3."
June screamed and Jim winced as she dug her fingernails into his hand. He closed his eyes trying to block out both his pain and hers. He stopped and opened his eyes again as he felt her grip loosen. The nurse smiled at him, she held up a tiny little baby.
"Well done it's a little boy." June fell back on the bed and Jim leant forward kissing her forehead repeatedly.
She laughed then lifted her head up sharply.
"Why isn't he crying?" She asked.
"Um..." the nurse looked over at the doctor.
"What's wrong with him?" Jim murmured.
"He's premature his lungs are weak." The doctor informed them. He put the baby in the incubator and began to wheel him out,
"Where are you taking him?" Jim asked,
"I have to take him to the special care unit. Try not to worry, Ill be back shortly to let you know whats going on." He said wheeling him out.
June started to cry and in shock Jim slipped down onto the edge of the bed trying to hold her.

Jim held Junes hand tightly, kneeling down next to the wheelchair she was leaning forward in. He watched her face pressed up against the glass watching her baby as it lay in the incubator.
"What do you think?" He asked.
"About what?"
"A name?"
"Oh I don't know." She looked away sharply.
"He's going to be alright June a few days he will be in your arms, we havent waited all this time for a family just to lose it.
"How can you be sure? I must've done something wrong."
He hugged her, "No....no you did nothing wrong... look at our son he's a fighter."
"What if he isn't?" She sobbed,
"He is. Now what about that name?"
"I.... he looks like a.... Charlie." She said,
"Charlie... I love it. Charlie is going to be fine. You just watch." He told her. She turned to look at her baby. Jim's smile disappeared and he struggled not to cry.
