Ok this one was the first ever ff I wrote. It's not the best. Jim and
June were together they split up when she was raped. She hasn't
told anyone apart from Dr Rob who I have introduced in this story.
Some people have an idea that something went on with J and J but
not everyone knows for sure.

June was in the changing rooms, she pulled her shirt on and put her hand over her stomach, revealing a reasonably large bump she quickly pulled away as Matthew entered. "You're in early today."
"Yeah I just wanted to get some work done." She replied.
"Oh right, you and Jim seem to be getting on pretty well, I mean if I�m not being too personal." He stopped as she held her hand up and put her other one over her mouth. She ran out leaving him confused.
June wiped her mouth after throwing up. "Ugh!" She started as Polly and Cass walked in, got up off the floor and opened the door,
"Oh hiya Sarge." Cass smiled, her usual playful grin.
"Hi Cass what are you two doing here shouldn't you be with Sgt Gilmore?"
" I just need the loo." Polly said,
"Yeah and I..."
"Don't worry about it Cass June said walking out.
June entered Craig�s office just as his phone rang. She watched patiently as he answered. "Hello... yes she's here who's calling.... oh.... okay." He looked up at her. "It's the doctors surgery � wanting you."
"Oh," she went to take the receiver from him, "um sorry Craig do you mind�" she asked.
"Oh...not at all." He left her alone to take the call.
"Hello...yes no not today I can't well I haven't really decided yet...I'm very busy Rob...no don't come here I'll ring you tomorrow." she said, "I'm fine.... yes look just because you're a doctor it doesn't mean you can boss me about...I told you I can't look I have to go." She hung up, pressed her stomach and sighed.
Jim was in the briefing room, "Right go on then out you go." Craig said, Jim looked out to see Rob walking down the corridor, he quickly ran out,
"Rob what are you doing here?"
"Oh I just came to see June.� He said,
"Oh is she alright?"
"Yeah she just...wanted my opinion on something look I have to go." he said walking away.
June was trying to relax in her office, and think. She held her hand on her stomach and there was a knock on the door.
"Come in!" She shouted straightening herself up as Rob walked in, "What are you doing here?"
"June you really need a check up okay I'm worried about you." He said.
"I'm fine."
"I'm not leaving until I give you a full check up."
"Fine but we can't do it here - come on." She said walking out.
Jim frowned as he saw June lead Rob into the FME's office.
June sat up on the table,
"Right firstly have you decided what to do?" He asked,
"Yes"
"And...."
"I'm going to...have it and put it up for adoption." She replied sternly.
"Right I need to make sure everything is okay with you and the baby." He said putting his had on her stomach, "How far along are you?" he asked,
"Um, 18 weeks." She said,
"Right have you told anyone about, well any of it?"
"No." She said as he put his hand on her abdomen, "I don't want anybody to know."
"June�"
"Just stop!" She snapped, "It's been nearly 5 months and I'm over it."
"Are you?" He asked again putting his hand on her stomach," You didn't answer my question."
"I'm over it when people don't remind me - which is why I didn't tell anybody." She snapped,
"Alright, have you had any pains?"
"No." She said,
"Have you been sick?"
"Yes every single morning at exactly the same time."
"And you say no-one's noticed?"
"No and that's the way I like it." she said,
"June I noticed the bump the minute I saw you"
"Yeah well you care."
Nick, Tony, Cass, Polly, Des and Reg were sat in the cafeteria,
"Right this might sound really disgusting but has anyone noticed anything about Sgt Ackland?" Nick asked.
"What do you mean?" Tony replied.
"Well her you know�" he put his hands up to his chest.
"What are you trying to say?"
"Well they've definitely gotten bigger."
"Nick!" Polly and Cass screeched.
"No honestly you just look next time you see her.�
Rob and June were by his car, "Look if you ever need me medically or even as someone to talk to I'm here okay don't hesitate to call - take it easy." He said kissing her on the cheek. Cass, Nick, Jim and Polly all saw.
As June was walking back into the station Marc walked up to her,
"Nice to know you're getting over what happened." He said putting his hand on her arm. She quickly pulled away, "oh touchy aren't we." He laughed, "I was thinking maybe you and me we could�"
"Forget it." She ordered, she went to walk away and he grabbed her arm roughly. "I don't think you heard me."
"Yes...I did." She pulled away, "but I wouldn't ever go out with you even if my life depended on it." She said.
Craig was in the Sgt's office, June walked in
"June are you okay?"
"What?"
"Well the doctor."
"Yeah I'm fine."
"You would tell me if something was wrong."
"Of course I would." She lied, there was a knock at the door and she opened it to Nick and Tony.
"Hi Sarge I was just wandering if I could have a word with you?" Tony said looking at her chest,
�Of course � let�s use the interview room.�
June sat across from Tony and Nick � feeling a little like she was being interrogated.
"Um well we think you were a bit out of order today." Tony fumbled.
"I'm sorry?" She asked.
"Well kissing that bloke in front of Jim - you know how he feels about you."
"What I didn't...I look, he kissed me on the cheek - he was just saying goodbye." She told him, "any way it's nothing to do with you."
"Are you okay?" Nick asked.
"Yes - now go back to work, please." she ordered. They walked out as she sat down, head in hands.
Toni was sat with Jim having coffee. "Well her, you know, her breasts are definitely bigger."
"Tony shut up." Jim ordered.
Craig and June were in the Sergeants office, June looked down at her already bulging stomach. There was a knock on the door and Polly walked in. "Um Sarge there's a man in reception waiting to see you do you want to me to tell him you're busy?"
"No." She said putting down her sandwich.
She wandered into reception
"Where is he?" She asked,
"In there." Cass told her, pointing to the room.
"Hi Sgt Ackland my name's Robin Thompson."
"Who?� She queried.
"I'm here to just make sure the police force are coping with the problems." He said shaking her hand,
"Oh sorry did I know you were coming?" She asked,
"Um...well I sent a memo."
"I'm really sorry I totally forgot."
"Should I come back?" He asked.
"No, no come with me I'll give you a guided tour." She smiled leading him out.
Jim was with Craig in the cafeteria when June and Thompson entered.
"Ah, Jim could you please just take Mr Thompson and show him around the place ?" She asked, "bring him back in an hour for me." She said as he walked away with the young man.
She sat down, "You look really tired."
"Thanks." she sighed sarcastically.
"You know what I mean." he said looking at her closely, "are you okay?"
"Yeah, look did you know he was coming?" She asked.
"No but he did look a bit familiar" he said, "what did you say his name was?"
"Oh shit!" June scolded running out, Craig followed.
Jim was waiting outside the toilets, June ran up to him
"Where is he?" she asked,
"In there."
"What's he doing?"
"I would imagine he was going to the toilet.�
"Go and get him." She ordered,
"What?"
"Just � now Jim.� she ordered giving him a push. Jim walked in and walked out again,
"He's gone."
"For crying out loud." She said running off.
Craig had rushed to his computer, "Gotcha!" he said quickly getting up.
Marc stood in front of June as she ran, "Get out of my way." she ordered,
"Oh feisty.�
June pushed past him into the CID room there was no one in there apart from Thompson. "Right you out now." She grabbed his arm; he quickly swung around and grabbed her punching her in the stomach. She cried out as he hit her across the face. Craig ran in and pulled him away, Jim quickly followed grabbing Thompson and staring at June.
"Jim bring him downstairs." Craig ordered snapping him out of his gaze. June was crouching on the floor holding her stomach, breathing deeply and sobbing. �June." he frowned going over to her,
"Agh!" she cried.
"June what is it?" He asked helping her off the floor, she was still sobbing and holding onto her stomach, "June?" she started breathing deeply to calm herself.
"I'm fine � I�ll be fine." She said clambering up and walking away.
Jim and Matt were putting Thompson in the cells when June hobbled in followed by Craig. "June you need to be checked out."
"No I don't." She snapped.
"Yes you do you could barely breath a minute ago."
"Would you drop it." she stormed off into her office.
Jim and Craig sat in the interview room with Thompson.
"Right Mr Thompson we already know that you're wife is in court next week but what is it that made you go up to the CID office?
"Well that's where you keep all the evidence innit?� He asked,
"So you wanted to get the evidence for you're wife�s case and what?"
"Make sure it was destroyed."
June was in the changing rooms she pulled up her t-shirt to reveal a large bump with bruises. There was a knock on the door, she pulled down her top, "Come in!" she snapped, Cass came in.
"Sarge can I have a word?" She asked.
"Yeah go on." She said. Cass sat down on the bench. "Is everything alright?" She asked.
"Yeah I was just wondering if you wanted to come for a drink with Polly and me."
"Oh...I can't."
"Please it would really mean a lot to me."
"I'm on a course of anti-biotics I can't drink."
"That doesn't matter we just want to have a girly night and we want you to come."
"Well...okay." She mumbled.
"Great we'll meet you outside." She smiled cheerfully.
Matthew and Craig were in the Sgt's office, "Have you noticed anything different about June?" Craig asked.
"No why have you?"
"Well it's probably nothing but she's been acting really strange and she's put on weight � a lot for her tiny frame."
"Maybe she's pregnant." Matthew blurted out.
"Yeah funny." Craig said walking out.
June made her way out into the cart park and found Matt already there. "Can I have a word?"
"Not really I'm busy." He said walking away.
"Please I need you talk to Jim for me." She said.
"You had to lead him along didn't you - you couldn't just say no or yes you didn't even tell him you were seeing someone else." He scolded.
"I'm not."
"Yeah so he only saw you kissing that guy."
"I am so fed up of this - that man was my Dr alright."
"So I could get him fired."
"You are not listening."
"Well maybe I don't listen to sluts." He walked away; she looked on as he stomped down the ramp.
"Sarge are you okay?" Nick asked coming up behind her.
"Um, could you tell Polly and Cass I couldn't make it please?" She was trying not to cry.
"Yeah okay." He said as she walked away.
All the officers were in the briefing room when June entered.
"Okay I want you all doing what you were doing yesterday, keep a look out for Danny Sharpe he's been selling drugs to kids. You all know what he looks like so off you go." She said, Jim gave her a look and walked out. Nick noticed,
"Sarge are you alright?" He asked.
"Yeah." She said looking away from him, he sighed and walked out. She brushed over her stomach as she walked away.
Rob walked into the station. "Is Sgt Ackland around?" He asked Nick,
"Um, yeah she's in that room." He replied.
June was in the office when Rob walked in.
"Hi." He said.
"Hey."
"How are you feeling?"
"Bad." She told him,
"Morning sickness?"
"Yeah amongst other things."
"Do you wanna talk about it?"
Not really."
"Okay look you're scan has had to be moved from 5 to 1 is that gonna be alright?"
"Well no I have to work." She said.
"Won't someone cover for you?"
"No."
"They will if you tell them what�s going on."
"Would you stop pushing me you don't have any idea what it's like for me okay so don't patronise me by making me feel guilty." She scolded.
"I'm not trying to but I'm saying there must be someone you can talk to in this place."
"I thought there was but not now." She sighed, "Look you'd better go everybody thinks we're having an affair as it is." She smiled,
"Really?"
"Look I'm sorry for having a go at you I'm just really really tired."
"You aren't sleeping?"
"No." She told him.
"Are you getting any back pains?"
"Yeah."
"And you're being sick."
"Oh yeah."
"Any pains in you're belly?"
"A few aches and pains." She looked at him.
"June I don't know how to tell you this - I think you might be pregnant." He started to laugh.
"You are an idiot." She laughed with him.
"Sorry I couldn't really resist it."
"Don't worry you made me smile at least."
"How are you feeling?"
"Oh well fat bloated old sickly tired in pain and...."
"And?"
"Lonely." She said,
"Hey." he hugged her, "you aren't alone you just well you need to tell people I know I keep going on about it but look at you. You can barley hide it, in fact I'm surprised that no-one's noticed already." As he spoke Craig walked in, "Okay are you two having an affair or what because I'm starting to get worried" he smiled cheekily. Rob looked over at June.
"Craig look at me do you notice anything different about me?" She asked
"Well yeah now you mention it there is something." He said,
"What?"
"Well you've put on weight you seem to be ill a hell of a lot and....oh my god." He sat down. �Are you pre�no sorry."
"Yes I am." She told him.
"What?"
"I'm pregnant." She told him.
"I had no idea I...are...I...congratulations." He said kissing her.
"Look I'd better go." Rob said smiling at her as he left.
"How far along are you?"
"Um, well nearly 5 months."
"Wow can I have a feel of your..." He clumsily asked. She nodded and he put his hand on her stomach. "Is it kicking yet?"
"Oh!.... yeah." She said,
"Wow are you, I mean what are you doing? You�re keeping it obviously."
"No actually I'm not I'm going to put it up for adoption."
"What why?"
"Craig it's too difficult to go into details, look would you call the relief into the briefing room at break yeah?" She asked.
"Yeah." He said she walked out.
Matthew was in the Sgt's office when Craig walked in.
"What's wrong with you?"
"June's pregnant."
"Yeah right - you aren't serious?"
"Deadly." He said.
June was in the car thinking. Maybe Jim would understand, she had longed to tell him about the rape but felt to ashamed. The only reason she hadn't told anyone else was because of Jim. He would be devastated.
Craig was in CAD, Jim looked up at him. "What is wrong with you Sarge you've been looking at me like that all day - you don't fancy me do you?" He grinned leaning back in his chair.
"No you know you and June have you.... well you know."
"What?"
"Just wandering."
"What for?"
"Just tell me."
"No we haven't we're just good friends.� He lied.
June walked in finding Craig and Jim chatting seriously. "Can I borrow Jim?" She asked, Craig nodded.
They both walked into an empty interview room.
"Jim...I have to talk to you." She told him.
"You look nervous...if you're here to tell me about you and the doctor then
I already know..."
"No. You think you know but you don't.... Jim he really is only my doctor."
"What's with all the visits?"
"I haven't been going for my check ups he was worried."
"Check ups...are you ill?"
"Um.... no. I'm...Jim I'm pregnant." She told him.
"What...you're pregnant...who's the dad?" He asked angrily.
"Jim..." she started trying to explain.
"Typical!" He shouted, "I should've known you would do this to me!"
"No - Jim please." She started.
"Please what! Please don't be angry with me for sleeping around!"
"I didn't."
"Oh...the Immaculate Conception then?" He looked at her with disgust and was about to walk out when she grabbed him.
"Jim I was raped."
