Comment: Don't ask!

"Jim, do you have to play it so loud AND sing along as well? Can't you just" She walked into lounge with a duster in her hand and stopped, giggling away. "Why I didn't realise you could play air guitar!"
"Well I never knew you were a shower singer."
"Comes from years of living alone. So you going to teach me how to play then?" "Hmmm not sure you've got the skills. Let's see - put the duster down Put the duster down June - or you'll end up flinging dust all over the room I've just cleaned. It's a serious job this you know, not playing about."
"And I'm willing to be a good pupil." She grinned.
"I bet you are, you little minx."

"So you gonna show me how it's done?"
He swooped her up off her feet and spun her round the room to the music.
"I'll throw up! Jim stop it!"
He chuckled loudly as he put her down. "Now what you've got to do is this," he grinned, adopting the traditional air guitar-playing pose.
"Right, I think I can manage that." She said copying his ridiculous pose.
"Hang on, need to change the CD." He ran over to the corner of the room fiddling with the stereo.
"Ok now this track excellent for it - ya ready? Sing along too June."

#This thing called love I just can't handle it#

"I said sing!"
June dropped onto the sofa laughing.
"You've dropped your instrument cadetGet up off that sofa and join in will you." He grinned, playing his air guitar with gusto.
"I can't.... I can hardly breathe" She mouthed holding her stomach.
"On your feet woman." He grabbed her hands and pulled her to a standing position.
"Woman! You're calling me woman now! I'll have you know I'm more of a drum person I think - or perhaps a tambourine"
"Never heard of the air drums or air tambourine. It's guitar or nothing I'm afraid. And you did say you wanted to learn. So... go on then... show me what you can do." He stood still, hands on hips and looked at her.

She smiled cheekily, as the song ended and they waited for another to start.
"Oh I'll show you alright." She swayed sexily to the beat and allowed her fingertips to flow down the side of her body. "You still wanna play guitar?"
"Yep," he grinned. "None of the other 'til you've proved to me you can do air guitar."
She dropped her arms to her side sulkily "Well if that's how you feel - I have cleaning to do anyway." She bent over the couch to retrieve her duster then jumped onto it, bouncing like a child on the cushion.
Jim chuckled, his laughter becoming louder and louder as he watched June bounce on the sofa as if playing the guitar. He fell to his knees thumping the floor, his body shaking with laughter.
June similarly was shaking with laughter; she dropped to her knees on the couch and picked up a cushion hitting Jim over the head with it as he lay on the floor at her feet still in a fit of giggles.
"Ouch." His arms flailed in the air, defending himself from the cushion blows. "So you can do it then."
"I can do anything I put my mind to sonny Jim."
"Except for singing in tune in the shower." He grabbed the cushion from the other side of the sofa and hit her with it.
"Ahhh you complete b...." She swallowed her word as the cushion hit her directly in the face. "Right you'll pay."
"No June please please." He begged writhing on the floor as she tickled him.
"Ha, got you now haven't I?! Bet youre feeling sorry... Begging for mercy." She sat up on top of him and smiled, pushing the hair back from her face. "Comfy position this is." She said as the CD changed and Bat out of Hell came on the stereo. "Ok now I'll show you air Piano." She giggled as she followed the notes on invisible keys in the air.

#Sirens are screaming and the fires are howling way down in the valley tonight#
Her hands slid down to rest on his body. She continued as if playing the piano across his chest, occasionally batting him on the nose.
"So what instrument you going to show me next?" he grinned. "Or are you gonna play the full 10 minute track out on my chest?"
"Oh I don't know, I may stretch it out - make it last 15 minutes, if you're lucky. Like you do sometimes." She dug him in the ribs with her heel.
"That is it woman." He grabbed her wrists and twisted her down onto her back so he could lie above her. "You come in here interrupting my guitar session... no respect - time I taught you a lesson15 minutes my arse," he muttered. "I shall sing for you now"
"Oh please do." She grinned.
"Well I can see myself tearing up the road faster than any other boy has ever gone," he sang along to the CD.
"Really? Well that will be a nice change!"
"You have no respect for classic rock music do you woman? The lesson shall thus continue."

He waited as the track ended and another one started.
"Ah now this one really suits you too," he adopted a pose and mouthed the words to her. "On a hot summer night would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses?" He batted his eyelids "Yes." Then glared down at her. "I bet you say that to all the boys."
"You cheeky sod." She giggled battling with him.
"You took the words right out of my mouth, must have been while you were kissing me," he sang. "You've got to learn to respect me. I am the man of the house after all."
"And Toto? He was here first - he did get into my bed first."
"Yeah but it wasn't for a lack of trying on my part."
He held her arms down again and leant down closer to her face and started to sing again "You were licking your lips and your lipstick shining I was dying just to ask for a taste." He smiled then dipped his head to kiss her.
"You didn't ask, you just did it." She whispered.
"Well I didn't hear you complaining." His lips brushed against her softly until she responded. She placed a hand on the back of his head bringing him closer to her so she could kiss him properly, deeply.

# I've got a taste of Paradise, that's all I really need to make me stay#

"So you going to teach me how to sing in the shower?" his eyes twinkled as he looked at her closely.
"I think I could manage that - you'll have to convince me you're up to the task though." She grinned as he stood up and helped her to her feet. She took his hand leading him to the foot of the stairs; Toto was happily trotting down toward the sofa. He ignored them and walked straight into the lounge as they headed up the stairs giggling. Settling down on the sofa he closed his eyes - finally a bit of peace and quiet.
