The Event |

|
|
The Event Series is a chance for us to ditch the carhartts, tuffies, and halibut coats for an evening, and replace them (temporarily) with pretty dresses, ties, and shiny leather shoes.
Approximately once every month, a select group of Juneauites (click here to join) meets at the Bubble Room or some other fancy spot for cocktails, and then proceeds to the home of our host for that evening's festivities. |

The Second Event began at the Canton House, where the entire bar was set aside for our use (thank you, Canton House staff for excellent service and the fantastic food and drink). We continued at the home of Dr. Davis, who cut the rug with the rest of us into the wee hours of the morning. |

|
|
The Third Event was a fondue buffet with a beautiful view of Gastineau Channel and Mt. Roberts. Thanks to the Smith-Moore household for hosting this event. |

|
|
In order to ensure that we can continue to hold the Event Series, please contribute money or supplies. There is no fixed contribution amount, but please contribute an amount appropriate to your consumption of drinks and/hors d'oeuvres. |

Due to the beautiful weather and no desire to wear suits on sunny days, the Fourth Event was a less-than formal wine-tasting held in Downtown Juneau at the Jensen Penthouse, with vistas of Mt. Jumbo, Gastineau Channel, and lower Downtown. |

The Fifth Event will likely be a lawn party with tall drinks, croquet, khakis and summer dresses. This Event will likely be held in mid to late July. If you have or know of a lawn suitable for this Event, please email me.
Update--I've actually found a location...I just have to ask nicely again...but our calendar is too damn packed to schedule another Event right now!

Well, the 5th Event of the First Season (see text to right) never materialized (just wait for next year!)...so on to the First Event of the Second Season!
More info to come, but it's at the Jensen #1, on Saturday September 24th! It's a cocktail party, so bring a bottle! |
