~ The Crimson Red Thread ~

On the day that we were born,

from His robe that He had worn,

Over His heart, God pulled a thread

the color was of crimson red.

As God's plan was our fate,

we united as two mates.

We had traveled many miles,

and had endured lengthy trials.

The fiber that did tie us together,

bound us by knit and tether.

Hand in hand, for each an end,

we held the strand that'd someday mend.

  On one snowy winter's night,

fell a blanket of frosty white.

As our promised vows were said,

by glowing candles we were wed.

Four years passed, together just us,

life was without any muss or fuss.

Something special was in store,

God had planned for so much more.

God's Will was finally set in motion,

In a place across the ocean.

A brave mother and soulful dad,

they were both oh so sad.

  To say goodbye was heartbreaking,

a forever family was in the making.

For held within your tiny hand,

was a thread to a distant land.

Around the thread your fingers curled,

it stretched across the whole wide world.

We were searching just for you,

because we held the same thread too.

We asked God and we were told,

we would have a girl to hold.

She would come from far away,

into our home she'd come and stay.

For our purpose we have sought,

for our destiny was not fought.

We have loved the thought of you,

and our wish has now come true.

The Crimson thread that serves to guide,

will lead our travels to your side.

As man and wife, we were two,

and now we're three with God's gift of you.

Love,

Your Mama
