    Admission and Entry Test

For the admission of Pakistani students in these colleges, they have to qualify the entry test which is based on the MCQs i.e. Multiple Choice Questions.

There are 70 MCQs for Biology, 60 MCQs for Chemistry, 60 MCQs for Physics, 30 MCQs for English, each carrying 5 marks and if attempt wrong then one negative mark in Punjab Medical Colleges Entry test 2002. For example
What is the cause of malaria?

    1. Mosquito
    2. Plasmodium
    3. Bacteria
    4. Bad Air
The correct answer is b-Plasmodium. If you attempt b then you will get 5 marks but if you attempt a, c or d then you will get -1 marks.

There are too many academies, which offer students to join them for entry test preparation. Most popular in Lahore are Students Inn, Kips and Star. All of them are good but in my opinion no academy can polish a student if he himself is dull and not interested in studies. Only if a student himself is interested in his studies then he can get admission in any medical college. For such serious students these academies are useless because all good students say that.
"The best place for studies is my home and best study is self study."
But the good material is also very necessary for a good student. Thousands of books are available in market but only a few of them are good. I had also been in the period of entry test and tried my best to bring some good material for entry test preparation. I recommend you a book of Prof. Jawaid Akhtar named

    " Biological Concepts MCQs "
