| Friday to Monday 3rd-6th May 2002 Cranked it down Wisley after work for about 5 friday, met Dave and Tim started to build a new line of doubles. Saturday got down for the late afternoon session stayed till it got dark building the new line got to the 3rd take off did a bit of lame riding, completely knackered after digging so went for a pint on the way home and got hasseled by a swan in the pub garden. Sunday bit earlier today 3ish, met up with Bamber, Tom and dem rode some jumps did some floating tables on the step up fell of twice and buggered my foot, ankle, leg, back and just about everywhere else. Monday late sesh, everyone there from yesterday more digging got to the take off for the 5th this line is going to be wicked once its bedded in and dry but its strictly BMX wat to tight for 26inchers. Legs recovered from yesterday so did some 180s on the step up want the 360 right it over now. Tried out the first on the new line its a bit soft at the moment so the speed dont carry for the second but it will. |

| Friday 10th to Thursday 16th April This is the best way to report boring news in a multi day stack, so here goes Friday went to wisley, sneaked off from everyone to have a go at the main line on my BMX, got the first two down didn't go for the third cos my ankle still aint strong enough, thats my excuse anyway. Tried out the new line but stacked big time and knackered my knee and shoulder, end of ride. Saturday big party up on the ridge way near Reading 8 sound systems in total lots of people, old bill turned up about 2am pulled all the cables out the first two rigs up the track then all the ravers blocked off the ridgeway and stopped them getting any further, poolice chopper was circling above I got to have a mix under the big spot light which was kool. after they realised they couldn't stop the rave they buggered off and said we could party till 10am, wicked! Wednesday street ride byfleet, it was crapp cos my shoulder is hurting think i have cracked my collar bone, and knee is still bad. I have got to get some body armor. Thursday it well hot and sunny, wwwwwoooooooo. |
| End of May 2002 Right the weather has been shit for about two weeks now, and it is starting to realy piss me off end of May and its raining, what is all that about? BUT...it friday today, 31st May, and the sun is shining, the weekend is looking good and with 4 days off from the world much fun is going to be had. Lot of parties this weekend. Hopefully this is the start of those good times where you ride down the trails in shorts and your still bloody hot, the fan in my office starts to scream as I krank it up in the paper work sweat box and the dust on the doubles coats you on every landing. Bring on summer thats what i say. Enough of the philosofical wooha back to the riding, due to the above metioned rain street has been it for the last couple of weeks, only thing is west byfleet has got about as much interesting tings to ride as libary full of christian girls. So manuals got dialed found a new balance point that let the bike sail for miles front wheel low with arse right off the back, got these into x-ups, hops up ledges into manual and learning x-ups off curbs etc. need to cut down bar though cos the old knee keep getting whacked. |
| End of May 2002 EXTRA Fridays ride was good, rode Byfleet skate area, a 1/4 pipe and box, sessioned it with Dave (on skateboard) Tim, me and a couple of other bmxers. Didn't realise you could have so much fun on so little ramp, pulled varoius kool moves, one handed coaster, 180's on the 1/4(not hard!), couple of bar spin coasters. Tim pulled a wicked bar spin coaster over the box, then crashed trying it again and couldn't ride. I sized up the 1/4 drop in pussyed it slid my bike down, went to jump and slide down the curve on my feet, my feet stuck to the ramp i hit the deck hands first from 8 foot up, OUCH! It fucking hurt and still does its now 6/6/02 i think it might be broke on someing. |
| First half June 2002 First couple weeks have been pure shit rain and a bad wrist, but the sun has been out for a few days now and all is looking good. Have improved my riding alot in the last week or so but my wrist still hurts so cant commit fully due to the pain factor. Have got bar spins going down on the flat need to take em to the air. Learning one handed coasters bit tricky to do any sort of distance though. Think grids have got to be sorted next, might go see guildford skatepark tonight. Blar Blar. |
| Sunday 23rd June 2002 First time down Wiley for about 2 months and the main line is looking wicked, its been built up and stuff few holes here and there on the down slopes though, stackings gonna hurt as its all hard packed, but once i'm fixed i'm going for it. Kev got the gash...just, some bloke bailed it. A guy on a blue bike who showed us his picture in dig was rinsing as were others. Nigel seemed to be at warp speed through every thing and Dave bailed big time. That is the lot. |
| First half of July 2002 I can grind at last, body parts have healed and i can commit again. Got pegged up and went down byfleet ramp and learnt to grind in an hour which was nice. Just 50/50 at the mo but i'm getting smother and the grinds are getting longer, as are the manuals, so it wont be long till i go flair to tooth pick to fakie nose manual crank flip. err yeah.......Any ways back to riding reality getting places with no car is a real bitch and getting people to go riding with is proving just as hard, lazy junkies. But it's nice and hot so river jumping ramps are being built and the bottle to go big is being built up, bike flips here we come. |
| EndJuly start August2002 I have been playing Dave Mirra 2 on the X-Box more than riding at the moment cos i can do every trick know to man fall off and it dont hurt. Just aint been riding for too long due to sorting out free parties all the time, got to go out and rinse somewhere soon, Wisley is to far too ride on a BMX so might try build some local trails maybe Pyrford again. Oh yeah Rain sucks again but a 37 trick grind combo on Mirra helps relive the bordom. |
