Sarah Road
There is a path that is known as sarah road
at first you might miss it, once you see it , it comes so bold
in the spring time it's sunny, in winter it's solomn and cold
that is the path that is know as sarah road

it runs right by a glimmering lake and stream
to the other side is farm land, where life is reamed
?too few have across it, more, others have just dreamed
i always hoped that i would somehow get lost and grow
then find myself on the path that is known as sarah road

the trees are dense, but the sky isn't seldom seen
trampling on the dust and dirt, the travelers still remain clean
well north is north and south is south and i'm somewhere in between
so close to lost, sitting here growing old
sitting on the path that is known as sarah road

too grow tired of it's amazing winds, would be to know all
just left of heaven, so near to hell, still, i follow the call
to measure twenty years is to feel two hundred miles old
littered are trips to fall, and you'll always stub your toes
continuously never getting past what is known as sarah road

now some guys felt they didn't go quite far enough
and others insisted they'd seen it all, went to try some other new stuff
time still passes and comers still go, through the clearing in the rough
all living things will end at the same spot, though
they'll all end on that path that is know as sarah road
always looking for that path that is known as sarah road
there just isn't any other path quite like sarah road
