Then I coasted down to Miami, and stayed at The Creek (Banana Bungalow). The pool bar staff kick ass (George and co.), the DJ's are incredible (Rene!). The other staff, well... Rooms are clean, but stark, and sharing a room with kiddies who aim to club their brains out of their ears makes one suicidal. Went diving off Key Largo with South Beach Divers. It was a crowded dive...

In October 2003 I revisited the States... I visited NYC, Quebec (Canada), Miami, and Key West. I stayed at The Wanderer's Inn in New York (owned by the same people who own Chelsea Interational Hostel - the place I stayed in in 1999).
After New York, I hopped on the bus and visited some researchers at CFS and the University of Laval in St. Foy, and made a tour of downtown Quebec.

This time around I took a photo of Chelsea Espresso Bar. They're moving, and I'm glad I caught them for the joyful reunion. (It's the corner shop across the road, with the awning).

I ran out of money, but had this three-week get-on-get-off Greyhound ticket, so decided to go to Key West. Was there over Fantasy Fest time, but got a cold from diving, so spent a couple of days *just* discussing life, the universe, and everything with a bunch of locals. I think it was better than the Fest.
