Genetics
I have a  bachelor's degree in Genetics, and a Masters degree in molecular plant physiology (for more info, go here: http://www.fabinet.up.ac.za/molplantphys). I've finally gotten a Reality Check on the difficulties of cloning (fragments into vectors, that is... and especially fragments into vectors, using single restriction enzymes). I'm continuing with my PhD studies, looking at cystatin expression in plants under stress. I'm doing my studies at the Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute at the University of Pretoria, and enjoying the cultural diversity of the place.
