| The Jumonji Ryu is the "Tenth Clan" of the Ninja, the Clan of the Shadow Warriors. Our power comes from brave hearts and pure souls, and from the Nin - the force that permeates all time and space and may be tapped by a true shadow warrior if the cause is just. Honor Code of the Jumonji Ryu Shadow Warrior 1. I will protect the citizens of Paragon City to the best of my ability. 2. I will never leave a fellow warrior in mortal danger. 3. I will obey all lawful orders of any higher-ranking Ryu member, my squad leader, and my mission commander. 4. I will do everything in my power to improve my skills, advance my rank, and bring honor to the Jumonji Ryu. Shadow warriors use teamwork, stealth, subterfuge, and overwhelming power to achieve the missions assigned to the Ryu. Ryu warriors train in true ninjutsu fighting tactics that have been developed and refined over two thousand years in China and Japan. Ryu warriors train for combat in the Battle Room, where teamwork and individual powers are honed to a shuriken's deadly edge. Rank and Promotions in the Jumonji Ryu Each warrior that is accepted into the Ryu will begin as a white-belt Ninja. Each warrior is required to wear either a martial arts-type belt or a utility belt with their uniform. By acomplishing successful missions and passing tests, warriors will rise in rank and belt level. After 75 successful missions, the warrior is eligible for black belt testing that will be administered by a Sensei or by Soke. It is expected that upon occasion, a warrior may have to sacrifice themself and be evacuated to the hospital in order to protect a teammate or their mission. In that case, the warrior is still eligible for rank testing, but only if the mission is a success. Only successful missions of three or more shadow warriors will qualify a belt test. Rank may be awarded by Soke or by a Sensei following testing in the Battle Room or in a Live Hazzard Area. Only Soke may award the rank of Sensei. The Ryu member is expected to keep track of their rank and report it truthfully when asked. There is no honor in rank falsely claimed, and anyone who brings dishonor to the Ryu may be summarily dismissed by a Sensei or by Soke. |

Regardless, it will be tough - but possible - to earn a black belt after a few months of training in the Ryu. There is no test for Sensei, the mission requirements are only an estimate.
