Note I made after a chat with Rita c 1996.
Rita was living at Southend where she went to junior school. Her mother ran a boardinghouse there  where al the family lived. 1935 she went to hospital at Southend  with burns. The Price family was from Margate Kent.
George Robert Brown was a councillor at Chingford. Also Rita told me a how she used to ride her bicycle to school through new Forest  too, so she was probably living in Chingford then. Rita visited her father when he worked at the Bank Of England during WW2..

Rita Francklin Peers nee Price c 1945

She married William Giles Peers in Pert h WA just after WW2 having met him in  London when he was with  the Air Force RAAF. She was living Chingford where  bombs were dropping all around her but she was lucky none dropped on her. She worked at various jobs and her father worked for the Bank of England where he lived  during the war and she visited  him once there  when an adult,  I believe..? Her father  had an antique shop in  c 1928 South ... Essex in directory and market stall of  jewelry and antiques.

While she was a child  of 9 she suffered severe burns to her left side and arm from a nightie catching fire which put her in hospital for a year . She was adopted after this and so was her brother 4 years younger to another family.

Her mother married  a Canadian airman  and went to live  Canada  where she had quite a few children and lived into her 90s  - I think 93. Fortunatley Rita was able to visit her n mother a few times in canada and kept in contact with all her relatives there. Also she "worked"  at the CAE in melbourne where she organized day-long  bus trips that were fun, educational and very popular indeed.  [ER]
