When and where are the Playgroup Chats?
The Playgroup has two official
chats, one on Tuesday @ 7PM (EST) and one on Friday @ 1PM (EST). The official chat takes place in
the ivllage chatroom called "the den". To join in one of these chats, please follow this chat link. More information on chats can be
found here
What are the archives, and how do I
access them?
The board seems to
move quickly and I lose my previous posts. Why is this?
The board is set up by parentsplace.com to archive every 65 main posts.
It archives every morning at 3 am EST. If the board reaches 65 posts by that time, it
becomes part of the queue to be archived the next morning. Your post is
not lost during an archive, however. You can return to that archived board to
read any responses you might have had. At this time you can still post to
Main Post when a board has been archived but you cannot add any new main posts
to an archived board. Most people post to the RTA (Reply To Archive
section) the next day so it's easier for people to find answers to their
questions.
How do I get to the
archives?
If the archive link at the top of the page does not work, try this
Archives Link
Those last numbers before the html tell you what number of board you
are on. If you change that number to the one below it you will go to
yesterday's board.
I posted a message, but when I back to the
board, it wasn't there. What happened?
Your computer might not upload your
cache, but read from a stored cache of the page loaded previous to your
posting. All you have to do is click the reload/update button at the top of
your browser. This should update your cache and your message should be
there.
I posted a message and the body of the
message was a big string! What did I do wrong?
When you type in the body of the post box
every line must be touching the left wall. If there is even one space
against that wall the whole paragraph will become a string. If you see
this during the preview hit the back button and delete the spaces on the far
left of the text. This will force the paragraph to justify
properly.
Where can I find pregnancy related Web
sites?
Parent's
Place has great links and search engines like
Yahoo are good too.
Check out our links page.
Where can I find member's Web
pages?
Members who have websites have listed
them under their descriptions in the Who's Who.;
You can also access a direct list of member pages by clicking here
What is the difference between the who's who website and the firecrackers website?
The who's who was created when we were all pregnant and we were all part of the
July 2000 Expecting Club. We maintain this site and it's contents for reference. The who's who site also contains all of the member details.
The Firecrackers Website was designed once we all gave birth and then formed a playgroup.
