My story begins one day in English class as I was preparing to give a report I had worked on all week and put my heart into. I had to interpret a poem by Elizabeth Barret Browning. Well, all went well until I slipped a little at the end. I had intended to say "She (Elizabeth) gave him (Robert Browning, her husband) peace and he gave her happiness." It came out of my mouth, unfortunately, as "She gave him a peace and he gave her happiness." I didn't even realize my slip until my English teacher cleared her throat and I was left stuttering.... Moral of the story: Always practice what your going to say ahead of time!
