SONG FOR THE MONTH

"The More We Get Together"
Sung to "Did You Ever See A Lassie?"

The more we get together,
Together, togerther,
The more we get together,
the happier we'll be.

For your friends are my friends,
And my friends are your friends,
The more we get together,
The happier we'll be.

HOME ACTIVITIES

Set out crayons or markers and ask your child to draw pictures of their friends.  (It's okay if the pictures don't look like people.)  They can include family members and animals as their friends.  Talk about the meaning of friendship and what they think is special about their friends.

Gather together some of your child's favorite dolls or stuffed animals.  While playing together, try to talk to them about friendship and getting along.  You can talk about sharing, not hitting and reqpecting other people feelings.
