| JANUARY ~ CURRICULUM HELPER Courtesy of Child Care of The Berkshires |
| Snack Critters Give each child a piece of toast, Cheese Whiz or peanut butter, cheerios, raisins and a plastic knife. Let children spread the Cheese Whiz or peanut butter on the toast. Children can use the other items to create eyes, nose and mouth. Enjoy! Cheese Muffins Give children English muffins and a slice of cheese. Encourage children to cut or tear the cheese and place on the muffin. Put in toaster oven until cheese melts. If you don't have a toaster over, use regular oven or pan on stove top. Serve for snack. Note: This is a good month to encourage children to learn self-help skills. Washing hands, brushing teeth, etc. all become routine habits with daily practice.
