Princess Kara is the most beautiful women in the kingdom of Surrod. Because of her beauty and lineade, Zekar is infatuated with her and desperately wants to marry her. Of course, Kara is disgusted by Zekar, a "formidable" man with dark desires. Zekar could put a spell on Kara and make her fall in love with him but he chooses not to win her in that way.
Zekar increases his powerful attacks on the king and his family. Kara ingests the poison that Zekar intended for the King. Initially, the young princess simply feels dizzy and faint. Luckily, Terran is close by to help her to fer bed. But soon her health deteriorates and she falls into a deep sleep and convulses. "All at once, she drew a deep breath and let it out with a bit of a ratle. Then there was nothing. It was all over."
Terran is devastated by Kara's death, but thanks to his powers and love for her, he brings her back to life during her funeral procession. The entire Kingdom of Surrod is thrilled that their princess has been revived. Zekar is not happy with the outcome and continues to try to kill King Maylic. Zekar finaly succeeds in poisoning the king because he disguises himself and a friend and Terran must expose him before it's to late. In his efforts to stop Zekar, Terran descovers a past of his own that in turn deems him to be the gratest Sorcerer of his time. Kara and Terran must work together to save the king and the Kingdom befor its to late.
In the midst of all of the events at hand, Zekar captures Princess Kara, but Terran finds his secret lair and finds Kara chained to a wall that is surounded by a never ending pit. Zekar and Terran face off and Good prevailes over evil once again.
Amidst all the events, Terran descovers he to is a prince and finally expresses his love for Kara, and the two are wed and spend the remader of their lives ruling his kingdom together.
