JULIE ANNE'S ADVENTURES

/user/flwbr.gif

This adventure started with DLV99, for those of you who are not familar with this event, I'll give you a little background on it. It was started in 1997 by Annie, Click on the DLV99 logo at the bottom of this page to go to the DLV99 page. It is an informal, unstructered gathering of CD's from around the country and we all meet in Las Vegas, you can dress or not, depending on your comfort level, and do the town...shows, bar hopping, eating, tours, etc.( Remember in Las Vegas it's HALLOWEEN all year long) My friend Julie(fairly common name in our community) planned a Monday shopping trip, there was ample free time.
The first stop was Dubarry's, an upscale yet afforable store, jewelery, and formal clothing(heavly beaded dresses and suits) and almost every type of earing and necklace set, bracelets and watches canbe had at really great discounts, we arrived and were treated really great....very TG friendly.....we bought a couple of items, thanked the ladies and left.
Armed with a new sense of bravado we decided to give the Beltz Factory Outlet a try, there is a Dress Barn there and I've bought a lot of clothes there, but never en-femme, so off we went there was only one minor problem when we arrived, we parked at the wrong end of the mall, and it is a long mall, we figured we're here so what the HECK. The gauntlet was a real experience..the gauntlet was a narrow hallway between all of the shops and was full of people, both young and old, tourist and local. No major difficulties there received a few stares and a couple of whistles from some young girls(real ones) but we held our heads up high and carried on.
We arrived at the Dress Barn and were treated like kings, well maybe queens, anyway we were treated like any of the other customers in the store, I have nothing but great things to say about the girls in the store.
Knowing my size I went and picked out a size 12 black skirt to go with the top I bought earlier, the sales girl wanted to know if I needed to try it on and I answered that I really didn't need to since I bought a few things there before, but she wouldn't accept that and said that there were plenty of dressing rooms, so in I went to try the skirt on, meanwhile my partner Julie was having a ball trying on several outfits, again the girls were great in accommodating us.

There was an adrenelin rush like I've never had before, it took a little while to calm down after that but now that I've done it once it really wasn't all that hard, I guess that we were lucky in picking a couple of stores that were more interested in sales than who was buying...... Oh I failed to mention that out adventure took place at NOON, just to make sure that we received the max exposure to the world.
