Levi was born on September 9, 2004. We bought his mother bred, but we weren't sure when she was due. Both Brandy and the father are registered paints, but due to the circumstances of their purchase, we have no papers. The father was more of a rust colored brown. Both of the foals in the field when we bought Brandy were also the rust colored. While we hoped the baby would be darker like momma, we thought he probably wouldn't be.
We were happily surprised to see he did turn out the darker brown like his momma. He took his time coming, but we were tickled to find both momma and baby healthy that morning.
Levi is a total doll. If you kneel down in the pasture he will come right up to you. Paul has him pretty much halter broke, and the girls love to walk him around. They've learned that he's a nipper though! We're looking forward to a lot of happy years with our new baby!
