-expected a linear jump from 10 to 15 with germinating peas

-makes sense that there’s more activity in germinating

-temperature differences affect beads

-dry are dormant but still alive

-keeping water same temperature very difficult due to poor insulation

            -heat loss to atmosphere

-problems with adding water: take chance of changing pressures

-more respiration at a lower temperature?? (molecules moving faster at higher temp)

-but no germination takes place in beadsàair moving

-can’t draw a direct correlation between temp and movement

-where new hotter water poured into container had an affect on the correlation differences for germinating

-beads and peas reading pretty good because of location in containerànot great but much more accurate

-equilibration took place but the temp in vials not definite/constant

-as temp increases, should see a pressure/volume increase as well

-ice melting, temp equilibrating

-seeing greater increase with germinating than beads and peasàoxygen is being used for respiration, dry peas (not dead peas)

-enzymes are going in germinating so using more oxygen than dry peas

-all living things undergo respiration even though they are green, peas start out under ground, endosperm (energy source that is present in plants, high concentration of carbohydrates), cotylteans (almost the same as endosperm) (??? Sorry I can’t spell, sound it out) energy source so that photosynthesis doesn’t need to occur for energy

-dry peas have everything they need except water so when water added respiration is ready to begin

-germinating rate doubles but beads and peas does not increase as much (good)
