LINKS
Being in this business people like to call show, aslong asI have has meant I've met some of the great names Brucie, Tarby and Cilla to name a few. But some of the people I know aren't as famous as the aformentioned greats, so I feel I should give them a leg up by putting them on my links page.
As some of you may know I am the resident compere of a club nite called Speakeasy. It is place where, musicians, poets, mcs, et al can meet and show off their skills. There also a live band and a DJ to round the night of in style. The event takes place at the Green Room Theatre, 4 times a year.
We now have a
MySpace so become or 'friend'. Also checkout the late Dike Omeje's site
Don't forget I also belong to BrothaTalk, a 5 piece spokenword collective. And an ideas factory
What4?
Other poets I know include Lemn Sissay, Mike Garry , Martin Stannage and Marvin Cheeseman
I'm also friends with novelist and story teller Pete Kalu
Another Literature event in Manchester is a nite called Re:Verberate
Some of you may know me as a comedian. My best mate in comedy is none other than Ken Mustard.
Why not try the
Manchester Comedy Forum, where you can find out what comedians are like when they're not on stage. (usually bitching about other comedians in my experience)
Also checkout Councillor Jack Brody's take on the world. Or get inside the world of my actor friend
Adam Brody (not the famous one and not related to the Councillor)
If you need a DJ then why not try my Brother, David Daniel, he's played all the top clubs like
Ministry of Sound
Here are a couple of writing organistions, both are good for finding out information.
There's
Commonword and Write Out Loud. There's also poetry organisation Apples and Snakes, and
DXn  the arts magazine in which I am the Agony Uncle. And checkout Literature Northwest
My main interest is football, you could do alot worse than checking out this site.
I usually watch the matches with my
'football mates' who include Howard (a writer)
I get some of my
showbiz news from Digitalspy and because I'm a little bit of a radio geek, I go on their radio forum. I've also become a member of the Oasis website to read the posts from
Noel Gallagher.
And if you have money troubles, (maybe you bought one too many of my books then why not try out money saving expert Martin Lewis's website.
