| BunnieWorld Archives Click here to go back to the front page. In June 2007 a GIRL BUNNY called Lucy moved in. Here are some pictures of the buns as babies: Ben, Gerry, and Lucy. Ben has taken to washing Lucy's head and ears, but Gerry is still suspicious of her. Lucy has her own pet mouse that lives in her hutch. Ben has developed a taste for pondweed and wades out to get it. Sometime he even goes swimming to get that delicious green pondweed! Its October the buns are all getting on very well as this group picture testifies. A cat got into Lucys hutch so she camped out in the bathroom, making a fine nest from towels. Its a new year - 2008, and heres Gerry hiding behind a tree, possibly because an American Harris Hawk has moved in at the tennis courts! In February a fox caught Ben but he got away and sadly, it was Gerry who died he had a heart attack. Lucy decided to move in and quickly established herself with tidying away and franticly digging a new entrance to the warren. Snow in April but Lucy is happy in the run. May 2008 and some grass clippings for the happy couple. Lucy having a sleep in early June. This is a German bunny we saw on Holiday. It has been a wet August but everything is growing faster than the rabbits can eat it. Ben and Lucy are both hiding in this picture somewhere so spot the bunny! This is a picture of Lucy taken in October 2008. She is about to eat a snack. This is a December picture of Ben having a check-up to make sure he was all healed up after being bitten by a fox last month. The fox keeps coming back so the rabbits have been staying in their run. Here they are eating an old Christmas tree. Lucy is dead. Unbeknown to us, the vixen had dug anearth under the shed and had cubs there. She was constantly around looking for food, and eventually tunneled into the rabbit cage. Ben has moved into the kitchen and won't sleep outside, even though I have entirely lined the run with burried paving slabs and slate sides, and have doubled the wire. A rescued doe called Flopsy who was found abandoned in Whitewebs Wood by some horse-riders has come to Join Ben and they seem to be getting on very well! And to prove it here's a picture of Ben washing Flopsy's ears. |
