I arrived in Auckland 19th July 2002. The first thing I noticed was how clean everywhere was. It made a change from the dusty dirty streets often associated with the latin countries. It was not all good though I asked a taxi drive where I could find a hostel. "What type do you want" he replied, turned and said, "I want a cheap one" he replied, " If you can't make your mind forget it". With that remark I told him I knew exactly what I wanted and walked off looking for another driver.
New Zealand has 3.8 million people 65 million sheep. You are lucky to see a third of what is on offer for tourist. It is over whelming there is cave's, volcano's, thermal pools, thermal rivers, crates, mountains, sky scrapers. You name it this island has it. I have to come back here it is a wonderful place and at the moment it is cheap. But don't tell everyone the Kiwi's will start to putting the prices up. |
