I have been in Chile since feb. 2001 I did however go back to England for a month and a half to recover from an accident I had in San Antonio. Chile is over 2800 miles long and is no easy trip. The roads however are very good until you get to the south. I came down the coast on the Panamericana passage. It is a beautiful ride down but I missed a lot of the north part of Chile.
I have been trying to drum up some sort of sponors for the journey ahead in Santiago. I am working on the passage across to Australia asking (begging a passage ) form the freight companies their giving nothing away. I may have to go through the back door and go directly to the docks. I also went to the national paper here and they printed the story in the Sunday edition (more papers are sold on Sunday). I was recoginized by a passing motorist and one of the passengers put the four page spread across the window of the car so I could see it as I drove by. |
