Well, this area will need some work, but for now a thumbnail sketch of the basics.

Like most people coming to terms with their transsexuality, I have had a persistent and strong desire to be female from very young - in fact, going back to my earliest and most powerful memories. I have come to the crossroads of truly dealing with these issues many times in my life - from seriously researching GRS when I was 19 to starting hormone therapy on my own several times, only to back off after a few months. Now, at 41, I am finally seeking some resolution in a much more open way than ever before.

I grew up in California but have somehow managed to get stuck in Upstate New York. I am a painter and a teacher. I have an abiding love for foreign and independent films, classical music, black labs, walks through the forest, and the ocean. I am an incurable romantic.
