I am currently a sophomore at ITW David Speer academy, I am glad I attended this particular high school because it stands out being a S.T.E.M school ,so we as students get a lot of opportunities. This past year I declared my major to be athletic training. I've always been one for sports so It fits me best and is going to be an upcoming job as our world develops since it falls in the STEM fields. I'd really enjoy helping other athletics recover or even keep a routine to stay healthy and I would be in a sport related environment. This isn't a typical job you think about when you hear STEM , so I feel as it is a job that will be in demand taking that not a lot of people think about it. I myself am an athletic I play basketball and softball. I have always been into sports I use them to stay motivated with school and clear my mind. I have played on teams for both sports for about 6 years, It is something I am very passionate about. Having so many opportunities at Speer can often come with big task and sports have always kept me motivated to keep and with school so I can strive in not only athletics but in my academics. I am always excited to learn new things having to do with sports medicine and just the human body in general. Speer has put me in a great position to strive in my declared major for the future.
Athletic Training
I am currently interested in becoming an athletic trainer and studying sports medicine.Sports have always grabbed my attention and I would love to work with other athletics and learn about new sports as well. I never thought I would find interest in the STEM field until Speer introduced me to it.
