CANUCK CREASE
Jan 2 Changes in Canuckville Sorry I haven't updated in awhile, the program never seems to work when I want it to. Anyways, The Canucks have made a few changes, they traded tough guy Donald Brashear to Philidelphia for skilled winger Jan Hlavac. The second trade saw Denis Pederson and Drake Berehowsky head to Pheonix for Trever Letowski, as well as Todd Warriner and Tyler Bouck who were automatically assigned to Manitoba(AHL). D-man Justin Kurtz was sent down as well, to make room for Alexei Tezikov, an off season free agent signing. Bryan Helmer was then called up to the big club to replace the injured Murray Baron. At the halfway point in the season, the Canucks record is 16-21-4, putting them on pace for 72 points.
Jan 6 GAME RECAP-- Montreal The Canucks started the new year off with a bang, beating the Montreal Canadiens 5-2 in front of a full house. Matt Cooke potted two, and Brent Sopel Markus Naslund and Henrik Sedin also scored. Dan Cloutier was strong in net, showing some good acrobatics and being helped by the post a couple of times. The defensive unit of Ohlund and Sopel was strong again ,and the line of Cooke, Morrison, and Linden had a very strong game.
Jan 6 Website News I updated the roster, taking away players that have been traded and I am working on updating the photos, and adding some more information about the players. I put a few new pictures up, to see them click here
