Apologies for not having any photos of my cousin Karen in here... I have left all my photos of her back home. Anyways, let me introduce you to Karen a little bit. She is the funniest person ever!!
Coming from England, she's got a very strong British accent which drives me nuts!! haha... I don't mean that in a bad way... It is absolutely hilarious everytime I think of it!! haha... She is tall and well built, (sounds like I'm describing a man here... (>_<) She is 17 years old (I think...) She is actually 18 now... 17 when I wrote this!! Haha...
Wait til you hear this... We used to hate each other when we were small. Every time she came over to spend the holidays with us, my cousin Byron (mentioned earlier) and I would gang up on her and call her names!! haha... Kids!! She was a fat little squirt of a kid when she was small and her Chinese nickname was just the funniest ever! Everyone called her "fay yau yau" (which translates as "fat oil oil" in English!! Byron and I decided we'd come up with some nicknames of our own. One day we started called her Karrot Juice... haha... I can still remember those good ol' days... Oh dammit... I feel so old now, talking about the past... (>_<) By the way, Byron was the eldest of us three and Karen was the youngest... so obviously I was in the middle... |

I could barely stop laughing trying to drag you over the wall... hahaha... Listen, how about I tell everyone about that time??? hehe... I'm sure they will love to hear this little adventure of ours!!! =) |

Karen was always a mischievous little girlo when she was a kiddo... She was always getting me into trouble... hohoho.... Now its get back time!!!! haha... Just kiddin man!!
One holiday she came to stay with me and Byron came over too. At the time, there was a graveyard and church just behind the estate where I was living. A low stone wall up to the thighs of an average sized adult was built around it. A large bunch of trees surrounded this area. We always played on the grassy area that we called "the green" when we were small. We rode our little bikes, played chasing etc... kiddo's games. Anyways, one day Karrot Juice decided to take us to the graveyard to see what was inside. I protested a million times I guess but in the end I was forced into going as I didn't want to be left like a loner with nobody to play with.
Byron and I were both much taller than Karen at the time. Anyhow, all three of us climbed over the wall pretty easily, no fuss there... When we got inside the graveyard it seemed so spooky and eerie... I was scared. We walked around for a while and looked at people's grave stones. I remember being told that I shouldn't stand or walk on people's graves as it would bring ghosts to haunt me at night. Being a little kiddo myself too at the time, I just believed whatever I was told. We carefully walked around until we got back to where we started.
It started getting dark and windy. Suddenly it began to rain, but not very heavily. That was really scary for us though at the time.... Can you imagine?? hehe... When we got to the wall, we thought it looked a lot higher than it had been when we first got over it... Guess what? The ground was dug away a bit on the inside of the graveyard so the wall looked a lot higher. We actually had to climb up to get over it. Byron and I got over just as easily as we did at the beginning, but it was Karen who was having trouble!! She was a fat chubby kid, and heavy too!! Nobody could lift her up high enough to get over the wall and the gates of the church were locked... It started raining a lot heavier suddenly. Karen was starting to cry cos she couldn't get over the darned wall!!! Byron thought of a plan. He would push Karen from the inside, while I pulled her from the outside. It rained more and more heavily until we were practically drenched. I told them I'd call my dad to save us and ran off while she protested and cried. I got my dad finally and also had an umbrella with me. It took my dad ages to get her over the bloomin wall... He pulled her from the outside while me and Byron pushed from inside!!! hahaha... Eventually we all got over and were safe and sound.
Time for dinner when we got home... all four of us soaked from the rain... Good memory though!!! (>_<) |
