Part 1 - Letting Go
Could This Be Love?

PART 1 Letting go

Just think about it...
Just think about it...

Ashley had been doing a lot of thinking lately.  She couldnt believe what was happening to her life.  It was slowly becoming worse.  Each day that went by brought new problems and obstacles to deal with.

Lately I've been skeptical.
Silent when I would used to speak.
Distant from all around me
Who witness me fail and become weak.

She couldnt figure out where her life was going.  Her boyfriend was the first problem.  He was such an ass.  And he would hit her even if she said one word in protest.  So shed learned to keep quiet around him.  He was also very jealous.  So she wasnt allowed any guy friends.  He deprived her from having a life.

Life is overwhelming.
Heavy is the head that wears the crown.
Id love to be the one to disappoint you
When I don't fall down.

Ashley remembered a time when she was happy with her life.  High school.  A day before she and met her lame excuse for a boyfriend.  She had been prom queen two years in a row.  Her memory skipped to a few months ago when her boyfriend had thrown her crown across the room, shattering against the wall.  Shattering the only good thing in her life.  She would never forgive him for that.  She was sick and tired of putting up with his shit.

But you don't understand
When I'm attempting to explain
Because you know it all
And I guess things will never change,
But you might need my hand when falling in your whole.
Your disposition ill remember when Im letting go of you

Jason? Ashley said, calling her boyfriend over the phone.
What do you want? he snapped.
I can do this, Ashley thought it herself.  Were over, she replied.
No we arent, Jason said matter-of-factly.
Yes, Jason, we are.  Im sorry.  I cant be with you anymore, Ashley told him.  Stay strong, you can do this, she thought to herself, dont give in to that ass.
NO, we ARENT, Jason repeated, almost yelling.
Good bye Jason, and dont EVER talk to me again, Ashley warned.
No, wait Ashley.  Im sorry sweetheart, let me make it up to you Jason begged.
Its too late, Jason.  Bye, Ashley said, hanging up the phone.

You. and me.
Were through. And rearranged.

Ashley felt so good.  In a matter of minutes shed felt a large weight being lifted off of her shoulders.  Relief washed over her immediately.  She was exhausted from all of the stress in her life so she laid down for a nap.

About two weeks later her life made another turn for the better.  First, she got a good paying job that she enjoyed.  And she didnt know it yet, but her life was about to get even better.
