Are you sure it's something you want *Nsync to perform?" "I don't want *Nsync to perform it. I, I wrote it for you; for you to sing." Lance said looking at the floor. "For-for me?" Josh asked staring wide-eyed at Lance. "Yes. You were toying with the idea of doing a solo album and Johnny and the label have approached you, I think you should do it and I wrote that 7 years ago, at the start of the band. I want you to have it to perform it." Lance said looking at Josh; he'd wrote the song at the start of the band when he fell in love with Josh, the're not together now but hopefully Josh will understand the meaning behind the song. "You want me to go solo?" "I want you to follow your heart." Lance answered looking in Josh's beautiful eyes and seeing something, something different. Josh smiled, "Ok I'm gonna follow my heart; for once." Josh got up and walked over to Lance and cupped his face and kissed him; slowly building it into a passion filled kiss with Lance clinging to Josh's back for purchase.Josh pulled back breathing hard and looking into Lance's pale-green eyes that held surprise, confusion and joy. "What was that?" Lance asked breathing hard and praying to all that is holy that, that kiss meant the same to Josh as it did to Lance. Josh sat in Lance's lap and wrapped his arms around Lance's neck, "Following my heart. I have loved you for so long now and I could tell that song was written about me and for me. I'm sorry I didn't see the love shining in your eyes; but I do now." Then Josh kissed Lance and they proceeded to show eachother their love for the next few hours. 8 MONTHS LATER - TRL "And peforming on the show for the first time as a solo artist is JC Chasez with todays No.1 'Why Can't You See?' which was written by bandmate Lance." Carson Daly said as he introduced Josh. Chris, Joey, Justin and Lance watched proudly in the green room as Jc sang for the first time without them. And he sang as naturally as he would as if they we're with him only the guys could tell how nervous he was until he started singing and the passion took over. When Josh finished Carson went over and congratulated him, "That was excellent man, was it strange performing without the other guys?" "Yeah it was I'm so used to looking over and seeing Justin singing back at me or the other 3 dancing around me; but I feel like they were here in spirit it was Lance's song and I know the guys are watching back home." Josh looked at the camera smiling and waved, "Hey guys I miss ya. Seeya soon." Back in the green room the guys saw that and smiled, "JC is about to have the surprise of his life." Joey said grinning. Back in the studio Carson got the signal that the guys were ready and grinned, "Well Jc we have a little surprise for you, gentleman if you would come out." Josh looked expectantly at the door and got the shock of all shocks when he saw the guys come out grinning, shouting 'JC.' and running over and tackling him; hugging him hard. "You don't think we would of missed your special day did you?" Justin asked smiling. "Hey guys, welcome to the show." Carson said. "It's great to be here." Chris said tickling Josh who squealed which made the audience laugh and cheer. "What are you guys doing here?" JC asked grinning he couldn't believe they were here he must admit he was a little upset when they said they couldn't make it but now this night is so much more special. "We came here for your special day." Joey said. "So guys how do you feel about JC going solo?" Carson asked. "I think it's great, I'm so proud of him." Justin said giving Josh a hug. "I couldn't be more happier and proud for Josh and it's so much more special that he decided to use my song as his first single." Lance said beaming with pride at Josh and giving him a long hug. "I'm proud of him I've watched him grow from a geeky 15 year old to a confident, amazing, talented man. He's my big brother and I love him." Joey said and hugged Josh who had to sniffle; he knew the tears would fall soon. The audience 'aaawed'. "There all my little brothers and I'm proud of all of them but I'm especially proud of Jc at this moment." Chris said, then he pulled Josh into a hug and the rest of the guys put their arms around him. "You guys sing on a track on the album called 'Together At Last', what was that like?" "It was great that JC asked us to parcipatate in a song and I enjoyed it and everyone sings on the song so it's great." Justin said. "The guys were there every step of the way and I knew I couldn't of done it without them." JC said. "Stop it your making me blush." Chris said, smiling at JC. "How about you guys treat us to a special performance of 'Together At Last,'?" Carson asked. "Sure." The guys all agreed and sang it and the crowds loved it. Jc made it to No.1 with his album and all the singles he released and the next year Justin enjoyed solo success. Josh and Lance were still strong and together and on the night of Nsync's album launch JC proposed and Lance said yes and they lived happily ever after with their daughter Abby. THE END |
