Justin smiled happily, his head resting on Lance's chest and feeling the
vibrations as Lance spoke about his life. He kissed Lance's chest through his shirt, and closed his eyes when Lance started running his fingers through his hair. He sighed and played with a loose string on his shirt, wondering if he should tell Lance about his life.

"...and so they tell me they're throwing me a party to help me find a bride!" Justin glanced up and smiled at Lance's miffed face as he ranted. "I mean, if I wanted a bride I would find one!"

Justin cleared his throat, forcing Lance to look at him. "Do you want one?" he asked, looking down at the bed. "A bride, I mean."

Lance smiled and sat up, bringing Justin with him. "No," he whispered,
running a finger down Justin's arm. "I want you."

Justin smiled and kissed Lance, his tongue diving into Lance's mouth. Pulling back, he smiled brilliantly. "You've got me."

"Wait! Mrs. Bass! Queen Diane! Wait!"

Chris ran in front of the queen, stopping in front of Prince Lance's door and spreading his arms out to block it.

"Christopher, move out of my way," said the queen, becoming annoyed. "I've brought the doctor to check on Lance."

Chris got an idea, and he smiled at the queen. "Of course QUEEN DIANE!" he yelled loudly, hoping Lance and Justin could hear him through the door. "It's so nice of you to bring the DOCTOR to check on your son, PRINCE LANCE!"

Lance broke apart from Justin's kiss, sitting up in bed and starting to panic.

"Lance! What's wrong?" asked Justin worriedly.

"It's my mother!" Lance whispered, watching Justin's eyes grow wide. He helped Justin off the bed and ran into his walk-in closet, closing the door behind him and locking it just as the front door opened.

"Christopher!" she yelled. "Get *out* of my way!"

Chris sighed and stepped aside. "Yes, your majesty," he sighed, shutting his eyes and waiting for the screaming to begin.

Queen Diane looked around the room. The bed was a little messed up but Lance wasn't in it. "That's peculiar," she said, "Lance isn't here."

Justin giggled in the closet and Lance grinned, putting a hand over his mouth and whispering for him to be quiet. When that didn't work, Lance did the only thing he could think of. He pushed Justin against the racks of clothing and kissed him -- hard.

Chris ran into the room and looked around. "He *isn't*?" he asked, looking all over the room and finally at the closet. His eyes widened and looked back at the queen. "Uh, I mean, no he isn't. He must have gone to the bathroom or something. Or maybe he's better and he's back at the party!"

Queen Diane nodded and waved the doctor away. "Yes, you must be right," she sighed. "If you see him Christopher, tell him I hope he's feeling better."

"Yes, ma'am," he said, sighing inwardly with relief.

As soon as the queen was gone, Chris ran to the door and locked it. Then he went to the closet and banged on the door.

"All right lovebirds," he said, "get your asses out here! We almost got
caught."

A few minutes later, Lance emerged from the closet, flushed and grinning, followed by Justin, who was tucking his shirt back in. Chris rolled his eyes and sighed.

"Kids," he mumbled, grinning. He watched them sit on the bed and join hands before speaking. "It's getting late you two. Justin should probably head home before we get caught for *real* this time."

Justin nodded, knowing Chris was right but not wanting to leave Lance. He turned to Lance and they kissed good-bye.

"When can I see you again?" asked Lance, brushing a few curls out of Justin's eyes.

Justin thought about his schedule and turned back to Lance. "Tomorrow," he said, "at the market. Say ... 4:00?"

Lance smiled and walked him to the door. "Sounds great. We'll meet at
Fatone's Bakery."

Chris grabbed Justin's arm. "I'll see that he gets out," he said.

Justin looked at Lance once more before following Chris out. Lance watched him go, then shut his door and leaned against it with a smile, thinking that *this* was what love felt like.

Justin rushed into the castle, running into Nick's room where he had left he clothes. He quickly undressed, smoothing out the silk shirt and pants and putting them back in Nick's closet. He quickly dressed back in his rags and raced downstairs. Sighing with relief, he sat down and finished scrubbing the fireplace.

About thirty minutes later, the door flew open and King Lou came in, followed by Nick and Kevin. Justin went outside to empty the dirty water. Coming back in, he noticed Nick's pout and Kevin's grumpy mood.

"How was the party?" he asked.

"It sucked!" whined Nick. "All the girls just wanted Prince Lance, and *he* was in his room sick. Lucky bastard."

"Forget it Nicky," said Kevin. "That Prince Lance is a queer anyway."

Justin felt his face growing red with rage, and he turned away to keep from kicking Kevin's ugly ass.

"Oh, fuck off Kevin," grumbled Nick. "You're not exactly straight yourself ... asshole."

Justin snickered quietly and Lou just rolled his eyes. "Oh, shut up the
*both* of you!" he said. "Go to your rooms. Now!"

Kevin and Nick walked off, fighting quietly. Lou turned to Justin.

"Did you do all that I asked you to?" he asked.

Justin nodded but remained quiet. King Lou grumbled a "yeah, right" before going to bed. Justin sighed tiredly, trudging into his room. It wasn't anywhere *near* the size of Nick or Kevin's rooms, but there were no small rooms in the castle. He stripped and heated up the water he had gotten for him to have a bath in.

Slipping into the hot water, he sighed and relaxed, letting his eyes close
and his mind wander to Prince Lance, and their meeting tomorrow evening.
