| He can't remember a time when he felt needed "Hey Lance," a quiet voice said. Lance looked up and his face was instantly graced with a smile. "Hello, Justin," Lance said. Justin was the only one he trusted, the only one he let get close to him. Because as selfish as it may seem, Justin made him feel needed, made him feel as if someone in the world wanted him. Justin sat down next to Lance at the table, it was lunch time. "I heard you got a new one," Justin commented, picking at his food. Lance sighed and took a sip of his drink. "Yeah...yeah I did," Lance replied, " but Justin...somehow...he's different. He didn't pester me with questions, we sat in silence for the whole session. But then, after that memories just came flooding back..." Justin's' eyes grew wide, and he blinked a couple of times. "THE memories?" he asked. He was the only one who knew what happened to Lance, the only one who seemed to understand. Lance nodded, sighed and leaned back into, he closed his eyes for a second then looked at Justin, who was picking at his food. "You know, you have to eat Just..." Lance said gently. "I am eating.." Justin took a bite out of his food, "See? I'm eating" "ALRIGHT LUNCH IS OVER, GET YOUR CRAZY ASSES BACK TO YOUR ROOMS." One of the attendants called out. Everyone stood up a shuffled out of the cafeteria. "I have to go meet with my doctor now..." Justin said quietly. "But I'll talk to you later, okay?" Lance smiled and nodded, he then made his way into his room and sat on the bed. At that moment Jc walked in and smiled at Lance. "Hello, Lance. How are you today?" Jc asked smiling. Lance shrugged, and laid down on the bed, closing his eyes. Jc took the chair next to the bed and looked intently at Lance. Lance opened his eyes to look straight into Jc's shining blue eyes. "What?" "Are you gonna talk today? Or is it going to be like yesterday?" Jc asked. Lance's eyes grew cold and his face glazed with a mask of discontent. "Whatever." Jc sighed and rubbed his temple. Only day two and he was already getting frustrated. "Now I know why the others left," he muttered. "What was that?" Lance asked, even though he knew exactly what Jc had said. "Nothing." Jc lied. "No, its not nothing. If you had been through even 1/100 of the things I went through, you'd be in a catatonic state. So don't you even say 'now I know why the others left.' You can't make me say anything to you! I thought you were different, I thought that you would understand. But obviously I thought too soon." When Lance was finished, he was breathing hard, and had tears running down his cheeks. He wiped them away angrily and curled up into a little ball. A hand gently laid itself on his shoulder and rubbed it slowly, he was slowly taken from the bed and into Jc's' lap. "Ssshhhh, I'm sorry. Don't cry.." Jc kept repeating soothing words into Lance's ear, until the blond man was slowly lulled to sleep. Jc gently put Lance on the bed, and pulled the covers over him. He sat back down on the chair and sighed. The door opened. "Hey Lance I-," Justin's' eyes grew wide and he stopped dead in his tracks, then he started backing up. "I-I-I'm sorry, I didn't k-know Lance had vi-visitors." "No I'm not a visitor, I'm Lance's psy-" Justin turned on his heels and ran out of the room. "Okay...." Jc looked down at Lance's sleeping form. "Oh Lance...I've only known you a total of 3 days, but already you've captured my mind...and probably even my heart..." He stood up and walked out of the room, shutting the door quietly behind him. Lance rolled over and looked at the closed door. He had heard every single world Jc had said. |
