| No need to wonder why Sometimes a gift like this You cant deny A year later, Jc, Lance, Chris, and Justin sat together in the living room and Chris house. They come a long way over the months, but they all knew it was worth it. When Chris had gone with Justin to his parents house, they hadnt even been home. Justin had begged Chris to just take him home with him. Justin had explained that he didnt even want to see his parents again, that he wanted to be with Chris. And Chris had caved. He really wanted Justin and his family to get along again, but his love overpowered that want. Lance stayed in the hospital for a few more months after Justin left, and like promised, Justin visited him at least once a week, sometimes more like 3 times. Lance wasnt as lonely because he spent most of his time with Jc, or thinking about him. Ever since hed said, I love Jc theyd become closer. So there they sat in Chris living room on Christmas Eve, telling stories about childhood Christmases. Jc couldnt help but remember back to the day that Lance was released from the hospital. Hed been too happy, but so confused. *Flashback* Hey, Lance, are you excited? Youre leaving tomorrow! Jc had exclaimed, pulling Lance into a hug. Yeah, Lance replied, but he didnt sound very excited. Whats wrong, Lance? Jc asked, concerned. Where am I going to go Jc? Lance asked softly. I have no home. I have no family. At least I dont want to ever see them again. Where? I want you to stay with me, Jc told him. You do? Lance asked, surprised. It had only been a few months ago that Lance had admitted that he did love Jc. Yes, Lance. I love you, and Id love for you to come live with me, Jc replied. Its nothing special, but its home. Id love to live with you, Lance responded, pulling Jc close to him. Thank you. They separated from the hug and just stared into each others eyes. Jc leaned forward and capture Lances lips with his. Their first kiss. Lance had frozen, and pulled back, surprised. Oh my, Lance, Im so sorry, Jc apologized. I was just so happy. Oh, um, its ok. Sorry I froze. I just havent really kissed anyone in a long time, Lance admitted. Thats ok, we can move slow if you want, Jc assured him. But, um, could you kiss me again? Lance asked, a shy smile on his face. Jc leaned forward and did just that. *End Flashback* Hey Jc, you in there? Justin asked, breaking Jc out of his thoughts. Huh? Jc said, not sure what they were talking about. Where were you? Chris asked as Lance gave him a curious look. Oh, I was just thinking about me and Lance's first kiss, Jc admitted, blushing a little. Lance smiled as he recalled the memory. That had been such a wonderful day. Hed gone from worrying about where he was going to stay, to staying with Jc, to getting his first kiss with Jc. It had been amazing. I remember that day, Lance replied, a dreamy look on his face. Justin and Chris just smiled at each other as Jc and Lance shared intimate looks. Finally, Chris couldnt take it anymore. Ok, enough of this mushy stuff, lets go outside and play in the snow! Yeah! Justin agreed with a shout and they raced to get their stuff. Jc and Lance just rolled their eyes at their friends and smiled, following them to get their coats. **** Outside, Chris and Justin were working on building a fort, while Jc and Lance made a snowman. Jc stopped rolling one of the parts of the body and went over to Lance. He leaned over and whispered something in his ear, causing Lance to giggle a little. They both looked over to see Justin and Chris totally concentrated on their fort. The walls of the fort were becoming quite high, so Jc and Lance were able to get really close without Justin or Chris noticing. They both carried huge snowballs in their hands. Once they were close enough. Jc counted to three using his fingers, and he and Lance pounced on the fort, knocking down the walls and throwing the snow all over Chris and Justin. Chris and Justin practically screamed as the freezing cold snow got shoved down their coats. What the hell? Chris yelled. What did we ever do to you? Well, Jc started, but he wasnt able to finish because Chris tackled him, shoving snow down *his* coat. Lance and Justin just stood and laughed at the two friends. Justin looked over at Lance and winked at his best friend. Lance didnt think hed ever been happier. He had no idea what he did to deserve this. But he was glad someone thought he did. Because he was the luckiest man alive. Once Jc and Chris stopped wrestling in the snow, Jc watched Lance from his spot on the ground. Hed never seen Lance so happy, so alive. And he hoped Lance would always stay that way. He swore his heart almost stopped as Lance starting laughing hysterically, bending at the waist. He had a few seconds to wonder why, and then he was covered in snow, from head to toe. But it didnt matter, because hed seen Lance laugh, really laugh, for the first time. And he knew that everything would be ok.
