| Chapter 12 |
| A couple days later, the day that people were supposed to be arriving, Brandi and Lance decided to go to town early to get extra food and supplies for the party. After that night, they would only have one more day at the camp before leaving. Justin was awake before Lance and Brandi left, but Josh got up after theyd already gone. Josh couldnt find Justin in the house, so he went out on the deck and found Justin floating on a raft out in the water. Josh watched him for a few minutes before calling down to him, Justin! Justin opened his eyes and frowned when he saw Josh up on the deck. What? Can we talk? Josh asked. About what? Please, Justin? Come up here? Josh asked. Fine, Justin mumbled, slipping off the raft into the water, and swimming to the dock. He walked up behind Josh, who was still leaning on the railing, a few minutes later. What, Josh? I saw you two kissing yesterday, Josh said softly. So? And since when are you talking to me again? Justin asked angrily. Tell me why I should even bother talking to you right now. Josh was silent, a frown on his face. Huh? I mean, what the hell, Josh? You cant just avoid me all day yesterday and expect everything to be peachy today, Justin went on, staring at Josh and waiting for an answer. Im sorry, Josh replied softly. Thats not good enough, Justin told him, crossing his arms and waiting for more. Im sorry Justin, I just miss you. A lot. Youre my best friend, and I feel like youre being taken away from me, Josh responded. Stop with the me being taken away from you shit. Lance is not responsible for whatevers happening between us. Its your fault. Youre overreacting. Weve spent just the same amount of time together. You need to realize that, Justin said. Im sorry, Josh repeated, refusing to look at Justin. Its ok. Were fine, Josh, well be fine. But I cant fight with you all the time. Youre going to have to accept the fact that I may have something with Lance, ok? Justin explained. Yeah, I can do that, Im sorry, Josh replied. Ok, now stop apologizing. Im sorry I snapped at you the other day, I want to tell you about him, I want to share that part of my life with you, Justin insisted. Its ok. I was pushing, teasing you, so I understand. Id love to hear about it, Josh told his best friend. Ok, Justin said, smiling. Well, we talked in the car and established that we both did like each other, and in a more-than-friends way. So thats why we were smiling and stuff at the rest stop, he explained. Ahh, I see. Thats great, Justin. And then we held hands while on the boat today, Justin said softly. How cute, Josh responded, and Justin looked up sharply, thinking he was teasing, but it seemed like he was serious. Yeah. And then we did kiss the other day, in the water when you and Brandi went inside. And once you left the other night, we kinda made out some more, Justin confessed. I saw you in the water, Josh told Justin. Thats why you made that comment back to Lance, Justin concluded. Yeah, but really, youre not moving too fast, and I shouldnt have said that. I was just angry that hed commented about Brandi and I when we were just sitting there, Josh explained. Hes really protective of her. You two did look cute together though, you think shes interested? Justin asked curiously. Yeah, maybe. Are *you* interested? Maybe, Josh replied, a smile on his face. Justin smiled back. Wouldnt it be great if we both hooked up with people this summer? I really like Lance. I know you do. And again, Im sorry for the way Ive treated him. I havent given him a chance at all. Ill be nicer, Josh promised. Thanks Josh, you dont know how much that means to me, Justin responded, hugging his friend. No problem, Josh assured him. They sat together in silence for a while before Justin spoke up again. Um, Josh? Yeah? I have a favor to ask you, Justin told him. Ok, what is it? Josh questioned, curious. Well, its kind of big, and you can say no if you arent comfortable. I just dont want to be *bad* when Lance and I- Justin rambled, but Josh interrupted him. What are you asking me to do, Justin? Josh asked. Um, well, will you, like teach me? Teach you *what*? Josh questioned, confused as to exactly what Justin was asking him to do. Teach me stuff, sexual stuff, you know, so I wont be bad when I do that stuff with Lance, Justin clarified, blushing furiously. Josh raised an eyebrow. It took all he had not to say yes right away. He needed to think with his brain and not his dick for the moment. Justin had just finished talking about how much he liked Lance. I cant do that Justin, no, Josh responded. Justins eyes widened. Please, Josh? I dont want to do anything wrong, I dont want to be bad. I dont want him to think Im stupid, Justin babbled, wringing his hands together nervously. You just told me how much you really liked Lance and everything. Lance wont dislike you because youre inexperienced, Josh assured Justin. But what if he *does*? Justin asked desperately. He wont. You dont know that. Ok, I dont know for sure, but Josh started. Justin interrupted him. But nothing, Josh, please. Please help me. I know you know how everything works. Please teach me, Justin begged, turning his pout on full swing. Oh jesus, Justin, not the pout. Come on, you know I cant say no to the pout, Josh whined. Justin jumped up, bringing Josh with him, and he hugged Josh tightly. Oh, I knew youd help me! Thank you so much! Wait just a minute, Justin, I didnt say I would do it, Josh stopped Justin in the middle of his thank you's. But you just said Will you just stop and think about what youre asking me? Josh questioned. Not only could this possibly ruin your relationship with Lance right away, but it could also ruin my potential relationship with Brandi. Do you really want to take that chance? I want to make Lance happy, Justin insisted. If he knew about this, would he be happy? He doesnt have to know, and Ill get better with practice. I want to be perfect for him, Justin explained. Josh almost commented that Justin already *was* perfect, but he didnt think that would really go over very well. Youre not going to give up, are you? Josh asked, sighing. His brain was giving up and just about to let his dick take over with the thinking. Nope, Justin replied with a small smile. Well then, Josh started. So youll do it? Justin asked. Josh? Will you? Josh leaned forward and silenced Justin with a kiss. Justins lips were softer than he expected, and Justins lean body right up against his felt very nice. Very, very, nice. When they broke the kiss, Justin asked, is that a yes? Josh just laughed, nodding. Now what do you want to learn? Everything you know, Justin replied quickly. Not so fast now, Josh told him softly. We have a little while before Lance and Brandi get back. Want your first lesson now? Sure, but we should probably go inside, right? Justin asked, motioning to the sliding glass door. Yeah, lets go, Josh responded, willing his body to calm down. He couldnt believe he was going to do this. But he figured that he might as well. Maybe his little crush on Justin could be squashed by getting what he wanted. Maybe. **** Brandi and Lance were making their way through the grocery store, picking up extra supplies for the party, when Lance brought up the subject of Justin and Josh. Do you think Justin and Josh are talking about everything and making up? Lance asked. I dont know, Josh has been weird the past few days, dont you think? Brandi responded, placing another item in the cart. Yeah, he has. And Justin has been really upset about it. He doesnt even know what the problem is. I hope they talk about it before tonight or neither of them will have any fun, Lance said. Yeah, me too. Theyre probably talking about it right now, so I wouldnt worry too much, Brandi assured him. Youre right. Lets get this over with so I can get back to my baby, Lance replied. Youre such a dork, Lance, Brandi teased, and Lance gave her the middle finger as they made their way to the checkout. |
