| Chapter 10 |
| The next morning everyone woke up on the late side because theyd stayed up late into the night watching movies. After having a quick breakfast, they all got into their bathing suits and went down to the dock. They carried the tubing and water skiing equipment down to the boat, and soon they were off, Lance driving the boat and Josh, Brandi, and Justin lounging in the back. Brandi hooked up the tube first. Ok, who wants to go? she asked, looking at Josh and then Justin. I will, Justin replied, taking off his shirt and doing as Brandi told him to. Josh watched Brandi and Justin, his eyes getting stuck on Justins toned abs and chest. Then his eyes traveled over to Brandi, who looked beautiful in her blue bikini. He didnt know which person to look at. Lance slowed the boat down so the tube and Justin could be lowered into the water, and he studied Justins form, sitting on the tube. He let his eyes linger for a bit before catching Justins eyes and giving him a big smile. Ready? he called. Yeah! Justin replied, and Lance sped the boat up, pulling Justin behind them. Justin squealed as the cool water hit his warm skin and then again as Lance turned the boat and he whipped to the side, almost falling off. Hey! he shouted, but he was laughing at the same time. Lance looked back and smiled at the look of pure joy on Justins face. When Justin was done, Josh took a turn, and then Brandi decided to use the water skis. She did pretty well for never having done it before. She was just happy her top didnt fall off. The three men congratulated her as she got back on the boat. Thanks, she said softly. So what should be do now? Lance asked. Sunbathe? Justin suggested. They all agreed that sunbathing was a good idea. Lance turned off the engine and then he and Justin went out to lie on the front of the boat, while Josh and Brandi stayed in the back. They all laid their silently for a while, relaxing in the warm sun. Lance opened his eyes to see Justin watching him, and he smiled. He reached over and slowly took Justins hand in his, rubbing it slightly. Justin grinned at him before lying back and closing his eyes again. Lance sighed softly and did the same, loving the feeling of Justins hand in his. A few hours later, they all decided that it was time to go back to the camp. They had all gotten a little burned since no one had put any sunscreen on. Brandi drove the boat back, and when they were close to the dock, Lance pushed Justin the water. Justin screamed when he hit the water and came up sputtering. Oh you little he started, splashing at Lance, who was still in the boat. Little what? Lance teased, and Brandi laughed as she pushed him in too. Lance pouted when he surfaced, sticking his tongue out at Brandi. But before he could say anything, Justin tackled him and he was back under the water. Jerk! Lance yelled as he came up for the second time. He turned around to see Justin grinning at him. What are you grinning like that for? Lance asked Justin didnt say anything, but his smiled got even bigger. Were going inside guys, you coming? Josh called from the dock. Nah, well be up in a bit, Lance replied, and he didnt miss the face that Josh made before turning around to go up to the camp. When he turned back to Justin, he was greeted by a splash of water in his face. Geez, let me breath for a minute, will you? he asked. Sorry, Justin replied, frowning at Lances tone. Lances eyes twinkled as he splashed Justin when he least expected it, and then they continued their little splash war until both of them couldnt feel their arms any more. They both laughed as the water stopped flying, neither able to catch their breath for a moment. They smiled at each other, and just floated there in the water. Lance couldnt stop staring at Justins hair when he noticed the water droplets sticking to each little curl. It shined even more when it was wet and in the sunlight. Whatcha staring at, Lance? Justin asked softly. Your hair, Lance replied, moving closer and reaching up to touch Justins curls. Justin almost purred as Lance massaged his scalp, moving his fingers through each and every curl. Lance smiled as he noticed Justins contented smile and closed eyes. He brought his hand away from Justins hair, and Justin opened his eyes, noticing how close Lance was. Lance leaned in so their lips were only a few centimeters apart, and he looked into Justins eyes. Is this ok? he whispered, and Justin could feel his warm breath on his lips. Yes, Justin replied softly, and his eyes fluttered closed as Lances lips cautiously brushed over his own. Lance moved back a little so their lips separated, but Justin followed him so quickly that they both got splashed a little before their lips connected again. Lance giggled, trying to stay above the water as he moved his wet lips against Justins. Justin giggled too, and they moved apart just long enough to move to where they could both touch. Neither of them were sure who should make the next move, but Lance decided it didnt matter, and he didnt want to wait any longer. He leaned in and kissed Justin once more, this time sliding his tongue along Justins closed lips until he was able to slide his tongue inside Justins mouth. Their tongues met and explored the depths of each others mouths. They pulled back for air, but it wasnt long before Lance moved back it and began kissing up and down Justins jawline and moving down to suck on Justins neck. Justin moaned, and wrapped his arms around Lance, pulling him closer. Mmmm, Lance said, stopping his attack on Justins neck to look at him. You taste good, he told Justin. Justin laughed softly, smiling. Im sure you do too. Maybe we should go inside, Ill keep you in suspense until later, Lance replied, winking before letting Justin out of his arms. Later? Justin whined, and Lance laughed as they got out of the water and dried off. Yes, later, be patient, Justin, Lance said, walking up to the house with Justin not far behind him. **** Neither men who had just left the water noticed Josh out on the deck. He was standing, leaning on the railing and trying not to shout something at them. They just kissed, he thought to himself. Why was he so jealous? Why did he care so much? Shouldnt he be happy for Justin? He definitely wasnt feeling happy at the moment. What is going on? he whispered aloud, startled at the sound of his own voice. He needed to figure out just what *was* going on because he hated the confusing things hed been feeling lately. He was jealous of Lance. He knew that for sure. Why? he asked himself. Because hes taking your best friend away from you, he explained to himself. But is that all? What else could there be? Well, maybe, Im bi, so maybe He stopped talking to himself right there. He wasnt ready to admit aloud to himself that he might have a crush on Justin. But he knew that there had to be something other than thinking Lance was taking Justin away from him. The confusing feelings had gotten worse since hed starting noticing how close Justin and Lance seemed and now that theyd definitely kissed, he was feeling even worse. He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts as he went inside. **** Brandi was sitting on the couch watching TV when he walked into the living room from the deck. Hey Josh, whats up? she asked. Oh nothing, he replied, sitting down on the couch next to her. He tried to forget about Justin and focus on the fact that he was sitting next to a very kind, caring, friendly woman who just happened to be gorgeous. He smiled at her, and she smiled back. So where are the other two? he asked. Theyre upstairs changing, she told him. Josh pretended that his mind didnt immediately go to the thought of them changing upstairs *together,* and he thought about Brandi instead. He moved closer to her, and she leaned her head on his shoulder. He smiled, taking her hand in his and holding it in his lap. Brandi looked over at him curiously, but she wasnt about to pull away from him. She smiled back at him, and moved to that she was half in his lap with her head on his chest. Then they both went back to watching TV, still holding hands. Justin and Lance came down a little while later and sat down on the floor next to the couch. Lance eyed Josh wearily but turned back to Justin, trying to ignore the fact that it looked like Josh was feeling his sister up in front of him. Finally, Lance couldnt take it anymore. Arent you moving a little fast? he snapped, glaring at Josh. What? Josh asked, surprised. When he noticed the look on Lances face, he glared back, saying, and you arent? Bullshit. Before Lance could reply, he jumped up, careful not to dump Brandi on the floor, and stomped out of the room. What the hell is his problem? Lance asked, turning back to the TV. Justin just stared at Lance, surprised. That was uncalled for, Brandi said softly, rushing upstairs to Joshs room where she assumed hed gone. |
