Scared
Justin whimpered as he heard the thunder booming.  It felt like it was right over the tour bus.  And he was afraid.  He hated thunder.  He always had, although he wasnt sure why.  He buried his head into his pillow when he saw the hall of the bus light up as lightning streaked through the sky.  His body shook with terror as he heard the thunder again.  He was so scared and couldnt do anything about it, so he began to cry.

Lance was the first one to hear Justin sniffling.  He climbed from his bunk and into Justins.  Justin was a little startled at the extra body in his bunk, but he relaxed when he heard Lances deep voice near his ear saying, its ok, Im here now.

But Justin couldnt stop crying.  He sobbed into Lances chest while Lance continued to hold him tight, rubbing Justins back comfortingly.  Each time the thunder cracked in the sky, Justins body would jump and Justin would start sniffling again.  When Justin feel back asleep, Lance returned to his own bunk to get some sleep.

But Justin soon woke again when the thunder got even louder.  They seemed to be driving closer and closer to the storm.  Justin was terrified again and decided to get up.  He didnt want to bother Lance again, so he slipped into Chris bunk.  Chris woke as Justins long limbs wrapped around him and asked, you ok?

Mmm, was all Justin said and he feel asleep as Chris kissed his forehead comfortingly.

When Justin woke up and hour later, he couldnt believe that it was still storming.  This had been the longest night of his life, and it wasnt over yet.  He climbed out of Chris bunk and walked into the kitchen to get some cereal.  Then he sat at the little table, staring out the window.

Minutes later, he felt the seat beside him lower, and he looked to see JC sitting next to him.  JC smiled as their eyes met and then said, cant sleep, huh?

Nah, stupid storm is keeping me up, Justin answered, leaning against JC.  He was completely exhausted and fell asleep quickly with JCs arms around him and his head on JCs shoulders.

Early the next morning, Justin woke in his bunk.  He didnt know how he got there because the last thing he remembered was falling asleep next to JC at the table.  He tried to move, but realized that there was someone in the bunk with him.  JC?  No, it was Joey.

Justins heart started beating a little faster as he realized that hed been sleeping with Joey.  And Joey was now wrapped in his arms.  Justin had wanted to feel Joey in his arms for as long as he could remember.  But hed always told himself that hed get over it.  Now, he was sure, he wouldnt be able to get it out of his mind.

He moved a little so he could see Joeys face.  And then he saw the tear stains on Joeys cheek.  His heart ached for Joey as he wondered what was wrong.

He felt Joey stirred next to him, and watched as Joey slowly woke up.  When Joey opened his eyes and saw Justin staring at him, he blushed and looked away.

Justin had never seen Joey nervous before and it was actually quite arousing.  Justin used his hand to lift Joeys chin so that they were looking straight at each other.

Why were you crying, Joey? Justin asked, concert evident in his voice.

You didnt come to me, Joey whispered.

What? Justin replied, confused.

You went to the other guys, but not to me, Joey explained, tears welling up in his eyes again.

If only he knew that real reason that I couldnt go to him.  He wouldnt was to be anywhere near me if he knew that Im in love with him, Justin thought to himself.

I-I didnt want to bother you, Justin said, making up an excuse.  Are you sure thats the reason you were crying?

No.  Its not.  Justin, I was scared last night too, Joey admitted, sniffling, I just wanted you to hold me.

After that, Justin knew that everything would be ok.
