| Remember - IV |
| It was the day before Justin and Lances two-month anniversary, and Justin wanted to do something special for Lance. He wasnt sure what to do, though, so he went to Josh. Josh, can I ask you something? Sure, you can ask me anything, Justin, you know that, Josh replied as Justin sat down next to him on the couch. Its about Lance, Justin said softly. Is something wrong? Josh asked. Oh no, just the opposite. Everythings perfect. But tomorrow is our two-month anniversary and I dont know what to get him, Justin explained. Ahhhh. Well, you know what he likes more than I do, Justin, Josh told him, not really sure what Justin could get for Lance. Oh, Josh, you have to help me. I dont know what to do! Justin exclaimed, tears welling up in his eyes. Justin, calm down, well think of something, Josh assured him with a small smile. Justin waited for him to say something else, for him to suggest something. Oh! If I said something about the flower that got you two together, would you know what I was talking about? Josh questioned. Yeah, did he tell you about that? Justin asked. Well, not much *about* what happened, but I know what it looks like, Josh explained. What about it? Remember the other night when Lance and I went to the art gallery? Josh asked. Yeah. Well, Lance saw a painting there that he really loved. It had that kind of flower in it, and he didnt stop staring at it for five minutes. He had this goofy look on his face, Josh told Justin, smiling as he remembered how happy Lance had looked. So you think I should go buy it for him? Justin questioned. Yeah, I think he would absolutely love to have it, Josh answered. Ok, will you come with me to buy it? Itll be faster if you show me where it is, Justin replied. Sure, Josh agreed. **** The next day, Justin woke Lance up excitedly. Baby, wake up, Justin said, jumping on the bed and successfully waking Lance up. Hmmmm? was Lances reply. Happy anniversary, baby, Justin said happily, leaning down to kiss Lance quickly. Happy anniversary to you too. Why are you up so early, Justin? Lance asked. I had to get your present ready, Justin replied, leaving the room for a minute and coming back in with a tray filled with breakfast foods. Lance grinned at his lover. Awww, you made me breakfast? Yep. I hope you like it, Justin told him, sitting down next to Lance. Lances grin got bigger when he saw the flower that was in a blue vase on his tray. It was their flower. I love you, Justin. I love you too, Lance. I have something else for you, Justin said, hopping up from the bed. You didnt have to get me anything, Justin, you know that, Lance told him. Yeah, I know. I wanted to, Justin responded, bringing the painting that hed purchased the night before into the room. He carried it over to the bed, and then he finally let Lance see what the painting was of. Lances jaw dropped and then he grinned. Come here, he said, pulling Justin into his arms. I love you. I love you too, Justin, thanks so much for the painting. It was Joshs idea. I figured, but Im so happy you got it for me. Every time I look at it, Im going to think of you, Lance admitted. Well that was kind of the point, Justin replied, giggling. Lance joined him, laughing as he hugged Justin again. |
