| Part 4 - Finally |
| JC woke up feeling much better. He stretched trying to remember what had ended up happening the night before. He couldnt figure out how hed gotten into his bed. He remembered how Lance had been there and the conversation that theyd had. He also remembered their almost kiss vividly, but how he'd gotten in bed was still a mystery. I must have fallen asleep, he thought to himself, and Lance probably carried me into bed. What a sweetheart. He sighed. Theyd almost kissed. Why hadnt they? Oh yeah, it was JCs fault. Hed stopped Lance twice when they were about to kiss. God, what is wrong with me? he thought, I could have KISSED Lance! It was no use to argue with himself, that wouldnt change anything. He jumped when he heard a knock at the door. He got up, walking slowly, as he wasnt fully awake yet. He opened the door, surprised to see Lance there, holding flowers, an embarrassed look on his face. Oh my God, he looks so good, Lance thought, I look like such an idiot with these stupid flowers. But when JC smiled his big toothy smile, Lance knew the embarrassment over the flowers was worth it. JC pulled him into the room and asked softly, are those for me? Yeah, Lance started, I know flowers are kind of girlie, but I just wanted to cheer you up. We both had a rough night. Thank you so much. They arent girlie at all. I love them, JC said quickly, taking the flowers into the kitchenette of his hotel room to look for something to put them in. No problem. Look, Jace, we should probably talk, Lance suggested. Yeah, I know. But I dont really want to, JC said, almost laughing at the confused look on Lances face. What? Lance asked, thoroughly confused now. Well, you know, Id rather do this, JC said as he walked towards Lance ending his sentence as their lips touched. The kiss wasnt that big. It wasnt passionate or lustful. It was sweet. And sweet was what they both needed at the moment. JC stepped back, and wondered why yet again. But the look on Lances face was worth it. Pure shock mixed in with a big smile. JC couldnt come up with any word to describe it. It was actually quite adorable. What was that for? Lance asked, wondering where JC had gotten this confidence from. He was loving it. Um, you looked like you could use it? JC more asked than stated. He was also wondering why he felt so confidant. Oh, ok, Lance said, letting JC know he was ok with the kiss. Good, JC said, smiling. Jace? Lance asked, shyly. Yeah? JC replied. You look very kissable right now, mind if I take advantage of that? Lance asked with a big grin plastered on his face. He didnt think hed ever stop smiling. Not at all, JC smiled back, laughing a little. He laugh was cut short as Lance kissed him. And it was pure heaven. JC knew hed found his home. But the only problem was Um, Jace? Lance asked pulling back a little sooner than JC wouldve liked. Yeah? JC asked, wishing Lance hadnt pulled away. I love you too, Lance said, watching as JCs eyes filled with tears. Say it again, JC asked, once he was able to speak. I love you, Josh, Lance stated softly, smiling at JC. I love you too, Lance, JC replied, pulling Lance to him once again. And he thanked God that he could finally love Lance up close instead of from a distance. THE END |
