More Than Ever
Damn it all! Justin yelled, throwing the remote across the room.

Whats wrong baby? Joey asked, coming from the other room with a worried expression on his face.

The stupid TV doesnt work because of this fricken storm! Justin exclaimed, fire in his eyes.

Calm down, J, you can watch TV another time, Joey replied, trying to lessen Justins anger.

But his comment didnt help.  I cant watch it another time! Justin exploded, Its only on once!  Why does it have to be storming right now?

Joey almost rolled his eyes as Justins voice turned to a whine.  He could tell that Justin was very close to throwing a full-out temper tantrum.

Go away you stupid rain!  We dont need you right now! Justin screamed, but the rain just poured even harder as thunder cracked in the clouds.

Joey decided not to tell Justin that they did indeed need the rain.  There had been a drought for weeks.

Justin, please stop yelling at the rain, its not going to help, Joey asked nicely, but was sorry he said anything when Justins angry eyes turned towards him.

Dont you tell me what to do, Fatone, Justin said, his voice low and powerful.  Joey knew he was in trouble.  Justin never called him Fatone unless he was REALLY pissed.

The lighting lit up the room and thunder boomed soon after.  Justin jumped at the loudness of the noise, almost forgetting why he was mad.

Why do you always have to boss me around, huh, Joey?  Its really starting to piss me off.  I always do what you want.  When can I start doing what I want? Justin questioned, not waiting for an answer.

Joey wouldnt have had one anyway, he had no idea what Justin was talking about.  He just sat in silence as Justin paced the room.

All I want from you is respect, and all I get is teasing.  When are you going to stop fooling around and realize that I am hurt when you call me names? Justin demanded.

What? Joey asked, softly, I thought you were mad about the TV not working."

Dont change the subject! Justin yelled, his voice cracking.

Joey didnt get it.  Why was Justin so upset?

I love you so much Joey and all I want is for you to love me back, Justin whispered, burying his head in his hands and sobbing quietly.

Joey was shocked.  What did that come from?  He rushed over to Justins side and pulled Justin into his arms.

Justin, its ok.  Please, I dont understand.  I do love you and I do respect you, Joey said, trying to calm Justin down.  But Justin kept right on crying.

When he was finally able to speak, he said, I-I just dont know what to do anymore, Joey.

Joey just stayed silent, rubbing Justins back and hoping that he would clarify what he meant.

When Justin didnt say anything for a few minutes, Joey said, you dont know what to do about what, Justin?

Everything.  I dont know if I can take it anymore, Justin replied quietly, fresh tears forming in his eyes.

Im so sorry if I upset you, Justin, Joey apologized, not really knowing why, but just trying to make Justin feel better.

No, its not your fault.  Well, sometimes when you guys tease me and call me the baby it hurts.  Thats part of it, Justin admitted, looking at Joey.

I wouldnt have ever said that if I knew that it hurt you, J.  Im sure if you told the guys that it bothers you, they would stop.  No one really considers you a baby.  You are the most mature out of all of us, Joey told Justin, smiling.

I know, but.  Sniffle.  But it still.  Sniffle.  It still hurts, Justin said, pouting.

Oh, baby, please dont pout, Joey begged.

Im sorry, I cant help it, Justin apologized, burying his face into Joeys neck.

So are you ok now, Justin? Joey asked, hoping that he was, but knowing in his heart that there was still something else bothering him.

Um, almost, Joe, Justin assured him.  Its just  Im sick of everyone judging me.  None of them even know me and they think they do.

Who are you talkin about, babe? Joey questioned, a little confused as to who Justin was referring to.

The media, the fans, everyone but our people, Justin explained, breathing deeply, and trying to control his emotions.

Youve never had a problem with their opinions before, why now? Joey wondered aloud.

Its just getting to me now, Joey, I dont really know why, Justin half sighed, half whined.

Forget about them, Justin.  We dont need them, Joey told him.

But Joey, we do.  They are the ones who buy our albums and support us, Justin replied, not convinced.

No, Justin, you dont understand.  We dont need to worry about them when we have each other, Joey clarified, flashing a grin, a real grin that was only for the ones he loved, at Justin.

And Justin loved Joey at the moment more than ever.
