| Memories - Chapter 19 |
| So, Josh started once theyd run out of things to talk about for the moment. Do you want to watch a movie? Sure, Lance agreed, wondering if theyd actually watch the movie or not. He blushed as the thought entered his head. Man, I sound like a thirteen year old at the movie theater wanting to make a move on his girlfriend. Hey, you still in there? Josh asked, curious as to why Lance had zoned him out. Yeah, sorry about that, Lance replied. Youre blushing, Josh observed aloud, why? Um, no reason, Lance answered, blushing even more. No, tell me, Josh demanded curiously. Do I have to? Lance whined. Yes, Josh answered simply. Oh, fine. I was just, well, I was wondering if wed actually watch the movie, Lance told Josh, blushing even more if that was possible. Josh chuckled and gave Lance a kiss on the cheek. Do you really want to watch the movie? Or did you have something else in mind? he questioned, winking at Lance. Um, well, you know, Lance stuttered. Lance, its ok. I think about that stuff too. I mean, Im a guy. All guys think about that. But are we ready? Josh asked carefully. I dont know, Lance answered. Ok. Then maybe we should just experiment? Josh suggested, leaning in to kiss up and down Lances neck. Mmmm, was all Lance could say as Joshs lips attacked his neck. He reached his arms around Joshs back to pull him closer. Josh kissed up Lances jaw and almost reached his mouth when they heard the front door open. They pulled apart quickly and moved away from each other on the couch. As soon as theyd done so, Leah and Justin walked into the room, hand in hand. Hey dad, Lance, Leah greeted them, waving with her free hand. Hi Leah, Justin, Josh replied, his voice a little shaky. Leah took in the scene before her. Her gaze landed on her father first. He had a worried look on his face and he was breathing kind of hard. Then she looked over at Lance. He looked really nervous and he was blushing. She smiled as she realized what theyd interrupted. You guys were making out, werent you? she blurted out, noticing how Lance blushed even harder and her fathers eyes widened. Leah! he exclaimed. What? You were, she replied, smiling smugly. Were *not* having the conversation, Josh said angrily. But I think we are. I dont care that you were making out. I think its kind of cute, in a weird way, Leah told him, smiling over at Lance who looked pretty freaked out. Josh suddenly looked over at Lance and felt bad. Leah, you need to apologize to Lance. Youre being rude. No, Josh, its ok. Im just glad she approves of us, Lance replied, coming to Leahs defense. Thanks Lance, Leah said, grinning at him. No, its not ok. She embarrassed you, she embarrassed me, hell, she even embarrassed Justin, Josh informed them. Leah looked over and smiled when she saw Justin just staring down at the carpet. She turned to face him and whispered in his ear, sorry, baby, didnt mean to embarrass you. It-its ok, Justin replied, sighing. He wanted to just drag Leah upstairs so they could do some making out. But he figured that wouldnt go over well with Josh. See daddy, both Lance and Justin said it was ok. She went to sit down between Josh and Lance. Im sorry, but Im just so happy that you found Lance. Youre so good together. And I just like to tease you, you know that. Forgive me? Leah pleaded. Of course, but just be more careful next time, ok? Josh asked, smiling at his daughter. Sure, Leah agreed. So what else were you guys doing before we came? We were going to watch a movie, Lance replied. Oh, cool, can we join you? Leah asked. Sure, Josh told her. But I get to sit next to Lance. Ok, Leah agreed, standing up from her seat on the couch, moving to the chair where Justin was seated, and sitting in his lap. Hey! he protested, but soon he decided that he liked having Leah curled up on top of him in the chair. And Josh didnt seem to notice, or if he had, he didnt care. Justin put his arms around Leah and turned to the TV to see which movie Josh had just put in. Dad! Leah exclaimed as she realized what movie Josh had chosen for them to watch. What? Josh asked innocently, giving her an evil grin. Hey, I had to get back at you somehow. Huh? Justin questioned, confused. Home videos, Leah mumbled, burying her face in Justins chest, embarrassed already. **** An hour later, Josh finally decided that hed tortured Leah enough, so he shut off the VCR. Lance didnt think hed ever laughed so much in his life. Leah was such a little character when she was little, he thought to himself, well, she still is. Justin looked down at Leah when the TV was shut off and realized that she was asleep. He had no idea how shed slept through the laughter, but she had. He looked over and Josh and said, Leahs asleep, Im going to bring her upstairs, ok? Of course, Josh agreed, need any help? Nah, Im all right, Justin assured him, standing up with Leah in his arms. He shifted her a little before heading out of the room. Hey Justin? Josh yelled to him. Yeah? he asked, turning around. Dinner will be in two hours. You can stay if youd like, Josh informed him. Ok, thanks, Justin replied, turning and leaving the room with Leah in his arms. **** Well, maybe I should go since you have dinner to make and stuff, Lance said once Justin had left the room. Dont be silly, you can stay for dinner, Josh told him with a smile. Oh ok. Are you sure? Lance questioned. Of course Im sure. Im like spending time with you. Unless you dont want to stay he trailed off, hoping Lance actually *did* want to stay. No, I do want to stay, I was just making sure that I wouldnt get in the way or anything, Lance responded. Well, you may distract me from cooking, but Im sure Justin and Leah can wait a few extra minutes, Josh joked, winking at Lance. Lance laughed, cuddling up to Joshs side. He loved spending time with Josh. In fact, he couldn't remember what hed ever done in his free time before he met Josh. **** Justin struggled a little bit on his way up the stairs, but finally managed to set Leah down on the bed without waking her. He sat down in her desk chair and just watched her sleep. He couldnt think of a more fun girl than Leah. She was so random sometimes, but she could also be completely serious. She didnt care that he didnt have much experience dating, and she always tried to make him comfortable. Other girls had just thought he was a loser or a prude because he hadnt gone far with a girl. But Leah didnt care. And he found himself wondering why the other girls did care. And why he had cared that they cared. He let his gaze wander over her body before deciding to lay down beside her. He climbed onto her bed and wrapped her in his arms. He kissed her forehead softly before falling asleep too. |
