| *Five years later* Brandi woke up Christmas morning with a groan. Andy! Come on! Its only, she paused to look at the clock, six oclock. Its too early. But mama, Santa came! I wanna go see what he brought me, Andy, her four year old son said, pouting. Brandi couldnt help but think he looked just like his father when he did that. Justin stirred next to her, rubbing his eyes before opening them. Morning Andy, he said when he saw his son sitting on top of Brandi. Mornin dad! Guess what? Andy exclaimed loudly. Justin winced. What little man? Santa came! Andy replied, bouncing up and down on Brandi, who made a face. No way! Justin exclaimed, jumping up and grabbing his son. He ran down the hall with his son in his arms, Andy squealing the whole way. Brandi giggled at Justin and went down the hall to get Jade, their six month old daughter. When Brandi made it downstairs, she saw Justin and Andy sitting on the floor, patiently waiting for her and Jade. Ok, mommys here! Can I open them now? Andy begged excitedly. All right, Justin agreed, and Andy grinned. Brandi watched as Andy tore into his presents and squealed over new toys. She held Jade in her lap and couldnt keep the smile off her face. Every so often Justin would look over from his spot on the floor and smile or wink at her. She would smile back and continue to watch Andy. She loved Christmas, especially now that they had a family to spend it with. It had been wonderful to spend it with just Justin, but now she truly felt whole. There was nothing in her life that she wasnt happy with, and there was nothing she wanted that she didnt have. She had always dreamed of finding the perfect guy, being swept off her feet, living in the perfect house, having two or three wonderful little kids. And it had all come true. She knew she had a lot to be thankful for. And she was. She was thankful for the beautiful house and all her wonderful belongings that Justin had bought for her. But the most important thing to her was love, and shed found it. Justin was the love of her life, and she loved him more than life. Hed been there for her through everything, and hed helped create two beautiful children. All she needed for Christmas was love and she had more than enough. THE END |
