| His Favorite - Chapter 4 |
| Best Friend When Joey had come to Lance and asked why he was having sex with everyone but him, Lance was embarrassed. Howd you know? Lance asked him, blushing. Chris is always looking at you like hes going to fuck you any minute, I can hear you and JC at night his room is right next to mine, remember? and you come out of Justins room early in the morning, Joey explained, causing Lance to blush anymore. Oh, was all Lance could say. So why not me? Joey asked, trying not to be upset. Uh, um, well, I dont really know Joey. They all came to me. And you havent come to me yet, was Lances explanation. Oh, Joey said. So what if I told you I want you? Is that the truth? Or do you just feel left out? Lance had asked, feeling bad immediately after he said it. Joey had left after frowning at Lance. **** Lance was worried when Joey didnt show up for an interview later that day. And when he wasnt where all the guys planned to meet up for dinner. Joey had never just disappeared before. And then Lance found him. He was in Lances room, curled up in his bed, fast asleep. Lance could see the streaks that dried tears left on his cheek. Then Lance noticed that Joey was holding something close to his body. It was one of Lances shirts. Lance was confused, but he sat down on the bed next to Joey, wondering what was wrong. He assumed it had something to do with what hed said when they talked before. Joey woke when Lance sat down next to him on the bed. He lifted his hand to wipe his eyes because they burned. Then he saw Lance sitting next to him, a million questions in his eyes. Uh, hi, Joey said. Whats wrong, Joey? Lance asked, the concern he was feeling showing on his face. What do you mean? Joey answered, trying to hide the fact that he wasnt ok, that something was very wrong. You have tear stains on your cheeks. Whats wrong? Lance repeated, his voice a little softer. Oh, well you see Joey stuttered, trying to come up with something to cover for the real reason he was crying. Its ok, Joe, you can talk to me, Lance soothed. Does this have anything to do with the fact that you are holding on to my shirt for dear life? What? Um, oh. That, Joey started, uh, yeah. It does. Lance was silent, waiting for an answer from Joey. He didnt want to push. Well, you see. Ah hell, Joey said, sitting up and looking Lance in the eye. I love you Lance, thats why I have such a hard time knowing that youre with everyone but me. No one had ever talked to Lance in that tone before. Joey *sounded* like he was in love. And it didnt have anything to do with what he was saying. Later that night, his best friend personality came out. They talked forever and Lance made love with Joey. After, Lance fell asleep in Joeys arms. And it was completely different from what he felt with the other guys. This time it was real. And Joey was his favorite. THE END |
