| Epilogue |
| ONE YEAR LATER... A hand reached out, grasping the pen and bringing it to his lips. He chewed on it for a while, before bringing it to the paper. He scribbled a few sentences, chewed on the pen some more, and started writing again. It took him a few pieces of paper to get it right, but finally he was satisfied with the note. He reread the final copy and smiled. "Perfect." ~*~ JC yawned and rubbed his eyes. He wasn't sure what time it was, but it was too early for him. He reached out blindly, wanting to hold Joey and never let go. He sighed when his arm met air, and opened his eyes. 'He's probably up making coffee and breakfast,' he thought. 'Damn morning people...' He was about to go back to sleep when he remembered what day it was. He grinned and stared at the ceiling, his hair wild against the pillow. Today was his and Joey's first year anniversary, celebrating the first time they admitted that they loved each other. He sighed happily and wondered where his lover was. He sat up and noticed for the first time, the piece of paper taped to his shirt. He smiled and took it off, reading it as he got out of bed. 'Hey there sexy. What're you wearing?' JC rolled his eyes and grinned, recognizing Joey's handwriting right away. 'Haha, just kidding. I figured it was *my* turn to write a love letter to someone. I taped it to you to make sure you got it ... no need to go through that whole fiasco all over again!' JC nodded. It had been pretty messy, but then again, he and Joey might not have gotten together if it hadn't happened. He shook his head and continued reading. 'But then again, I wonder of you and I would have gotten together if it hadn't happened. I like to think so.' JC smiled. It amazed him how Joey always knew what he was thinking and feeling, even when they weren't together. 'Get dressed and come downstairs. Oh, and happy anniversary baby. I love you so much. Muah! Love, Joey.' JC grinned. He opened the bottom drawer and pulled on a pair of pants, shoving the letter in his pocket. He stopped by the bathroom to fix his hair, wondering what the point was since Joey had seen him after he just woke up a thousand times before. He sighed when his hair did nothing. "Ah, screw it," he mumbled, turning off the bathroom light and heading out of his and Joey's bathroom. He walked through the halls of the house they shared and down the stairs. He was heading for the kitchen when he stopped. He turned toward the living room, his eyes widening. The room was littered with every kind of flower imaginable. Violets, daisies, sunflowers, everything -- and in the middle was a vase of long-stemmed red roses, the only ones in the room, and a note. JC smiled, picking up the roses and smelling them. He set them back down and read the note from Joey. 'Have I ever told you I think you smell like flowers and soap? You do, especially after you've showered. I love it. So, on our very first anniversary together, I thought I'd surprise you with something that reminds me of you. Call me crazy, but I thought flowers would be more romantic than soap. Love you always, Joey.' JC chuckled. He felt a pair of arms slip around his waist and he sighed happily, leaning back into Joey's embrace. Their lips met sweetly, and Joey smiled. "Happy anniversary, Josh," he said, leaning their foreheads together. "Happy anniversary, Joey," said JC, smiling as their lips met again. ~*~ Justin sighed impatiently, still unable to keep the excited grin off his face. Today was his and Lance's first year anniversary as well, and Lance had blindfolded Justin, not wanting him to peak. He had driven them somewhere and was helping Justin out of the car. "Laaaaaaance!" he whined. "Can I please take this thing off? It's itching my eyes!" "No." "But I'm cold!" "It's summer Justin! Quit being a baby!" Justin sighed, a pout automatically forming on his lips. He allowed Lance to lead him somewhere, and he felt his feet go from walking on pavement to grass. "Where the hell are we?" "You'll see. Stop here." "Finally," grumbled Justin. He felt soft lips start kissing up his neck and he grinned. "Ooh! I think I'm gonna like this surprise!" Lance finally made it to his lips, kissing him sweetly and then with more passion. Justin moaned into the kiss, letting Lance's tongue slide into his mouth. When he pulled back, Justin was hard and anxious. Lance chuckled and slid something metal into Justin's hand. "What's this?" Justin asked, trying to feel the object out. Lance grinned and undid the blindfold. Justin blinked against the harsh sunlight. When he focused his eyes, they grew large. "Oh my God," he whispered, looking at the key in his hand and then back up at the huge house he and Lance had looked at a few months ago. He looked around the large yard, his eyes landing on the 'FOR SALE' sign that had the word 'SOLD' across the front. He turned to Lance, his eyes full of tears. Lance smiled softly, and kissed Justin sweetly. "Happy anniversary baby," he said against Justin's lips. Justin grinned and hugged him tightly, not sure he ever wanted to let go. "Happy anniversary Lance." THE END |
