Prince Namian is the only child of King Charmont and Queen Eleanor, as well as heir to the throne of Kyrria.
Loyal to his family and to his future rule as king, Namian nonetheless finds the pressures of royal life to be suffocating. He finds his only escape to be hunting.
While on a particular outing, Namian encounters his own personal nemesis, the Captain of the Guard: Sir Russell. The two argue, and Namian proceeds out on his own.
The prince prepares to shoot a buck but is interrupted when he is hit full force by a young woman with unnatural red hair. She seems as suprised by him as he is of her, but she quickly leaves before he can find out her name. Intrigued, Namian follows.
