2007 - still mocking up a new juicego with camping blender ,
subcontracting
the kickstand, recruiting spokespeople, do drop a line. Outdoor
garden juicing
just around the corner... had a bit of nippi weather this year.. The
Design
mission statement is a machine to connect blender, juicer, grain
mill, meat
grinder toolsets; all on a field adaptor, not requiring welding. so
far so good.
A "pully hooked in place of handle" doesn't cut it. Just
like your
effort, tangent handle pushing evens out the bearing wear. Juicycle allows
quick
tool changeouts. This green unit is now at Bruces' *see below* My
personal use
prototype has all plexiglas top, 20 pounds of old bike chain threaded
thru the
big wheel, a steel spoke secondary wheel, racing cranks, toe straps,
all as
a flour mill and juicer. The umbrella is a great addition on
the hot
gilroy weather. The nylon secondary makes for quieter
action.
Jan
2007 - completed a mockup using aluminum box shapes, and a smaller
auxillary
wheel. the aluminum juicego, and streamlined mounting is in the
works, building
juicego1, a three spd huffy prototype. Recruiting agents for home and
garden
event displays; world community event demonstrations .
Sept 2006 - huffy launched, but not in time for bike-to-work week. I retrieved the bike church Classic, used twice, declared undesired clutter in the new yard. *sigh* Moved said unit to Bruce Bundy's backyard. Way appreciated. Did discover a new insight and improvement; the total weight is way down. part count too. Retired the red system. Step thru is way better for this. Giant motorcycle seat on cromo seatpost. groovy. Kayak trailer in the works doubles as produce ice chest.
May 2006 -. new juicego gizmo premiered at the farmers market at Harry's Growing Cycles bike valet spot. very lowkey. I can do with a much better seat. I do have an antique a step-thru bike frame would be easier to deal with. same with 'apehanger' handlebars ... the padding on the semi-recumbant: laid back 'classic' juicycle above, in garden ..soft, cushy. jute and fiberfill. lots of drain for the outdoor drenching.don't ferget... up and rolls around like any good wheelbarrow!
Oct
2005 - this is the red monster... drove it over to the Specia
lized
offices that sponsored the Morgan Hill leg of the Bonafonte
Garden Harvest
Ride-Cycling Event. One comment from a well - traveled barbarian
there was:
" carbon fiber "IT" and "IT" will sell ...
ah well
the aluminum renditions are coming along... *sigh* 6/05 update:
decommissioned
this red juiceGo proto. The 'step thru' style much easier for all
around evrything.
Jan
2003 first prototype 'wheel barrow' - ed around the bike
church santa cruz lot . we believe the niche market will beholden
us as
the world warms to the charms. there's coffee fanatics, there's tea
connoisors,
wine snobs; now i must introduce the most interesting garden tool
subset:
juicycle - fresh garden liquid nourishment with 'little effort' .. what a concept!
The
first visualization was a pedal-powered compost chipper thing about
1979. Built
three chain-drive juicer/ 'pedal shop' and 'corn mill' devices before
sleeking
the running gear as the 'aux wheel' style. One is still at the
homeless garden
near natural bridges state park, one on Ocean Extension. This one is
a wood
lathe and grindstand; is in my shed/shop. Estimated spindle speed
=3500 rpm
. That is 45 lb of 3/4 inch diameter tractor chain around the
flywheel. Whopping
torque. Have not finished a chipper composter yet.
jan 2000 the first- and now-missing juicego. Built on Austrian (Sears) step-thru, 3 speed with mountain front wheel. seen it?
