Tosses

After you get the diabolo going, you can start doing stuff with it. One of the simplest tricks is tossing it. Start with the handstick at body width apart. Pull them apart quickly and it will send the diabolo into the air. Now you only problem is how do you catch? Well, you should have thought of that before you through it. Well any way to catch it you keep one handstick at chest level and raise the other handstick towards the diabolo. You sight along the string to catch. When the diabolo hits the string give it some cushion by absorbing the shock so that when it hits it won't bounce of again.

String Climb

This trick need the diabolo to be spinning really fast. The best way to get the diabolo going fast is to learn to whip it (see whipping). Once you get it going fast raise the left hand and with the right hand wrap the string around the outside cup and pull tight and the diabolo will magically rise.

Around the Wrold

Get the diabolo spinning and hold the handstick at body width apart. Keep your handstick at body width and swing the diabolo in a big clock-wise arc. This is a around the world. at the end of the around the world your string will be crossed. Simply do a reverse around the world to uncross(around the world can be clockwise, or counter clockwise).

Stop Over

Do an around the world, but instead of letting it go all the way around, let it loop over one of the handstick and catch it on the string. To get out of this simply reverse it.

Release and Recapture

This trick is used in several different tricks. First you lower your right arm, then toss the diabolo up. While the diabolo is in the air, do a complete circle around the diabolo with your handstick. This pulls the string out from under the diabolo and you bring the string over the top and under it. This is the Release and Recapture. To get out of do the same thing but going the opposite direction. Practice until it does not look like you are tossing the diabolo, but are just making the diabolo float there.

Cradles

Hold your handstick parallel to you, one in front of the other. This wraps the string up on your handstick and there is a little space for the diabolo to rock back and forth through. You will have to expirement with the possition of the handsticks that will leave enough space for the diabolo to rock through.
