Blind Juggling
If you have some major dediacation,
and want to really impress your friends. This is the trick
to do. There is no tricks, just hours of practice and dedication.
The key is to juggle them low.
There is another kind of blind juggling,
but it takes two people. One closes his eyes and starts
juggling. Every ball that is thown the partner catches and
places it in the correct hand. This makes for a nice little
bit of comedy.
Boston Mess
If you know how to do the mills mess
then this should be real easy for you because the only difference
is in Bostons Mess the balls go up and down in their own
column. You basically juggle the mills mess but every ball
goes straight up and down.
Burk's Burage
Put two balls in your right hand
and one in your left. Cross your left hand over the right.
Start juggling two in one hand columns in you right hand
and at the same time carry the left hand ball up and over
the pattern in a big arcs from right to left. When your
left hand gets to the end of the arc the right hand throws
straight up on the right hand side of the pattern and then
starts it arc over the patern from left to right, and the
left hand takes over juggling two in one hand. When the
right hand gets to the end of its arc the left and throws
straight up the left side and starts it arc over the top
from right to left. That is all there is to Burk's Burage
So what we have is that each ball
keeps to its own place in the pattern. One ball is always
carried by the right hand, one by the left hand, and the
third ball just bobs up and down in the middle, never getting
carried anywhere. Keep practicing and you should have this
in a couple of days.
Chops
Chops take a while to get a hang
of, and can take several months to years to perfect. So
don't get dicouraged if this pattern doesn't look or feel
right, give it some time. Start by juggling a 3 ball cascade,
then choose a ball and quickly carrie it over the incoming
ball, down to the opposite arm and then toss it straight
up the side. Then you go back and catch the incoming ball.
Practice doing this with both hands, and when you can do
it good with both hands do both hands together. The only
way to get this trick down is to practice. So take your
time and have fun, because once you get this down, it looks
really cool.
Disapearing Ball
Start by juggling two in one hand
in your right and holding one in your left. Choose one ball,
and everytime you toss it, take your left hand that is holding
the ball and circle around it(make shure you are showing
off the ball that you are holding). Then at some time while
you are doing a circle, take the ball that you are holding
and place it in the back of the hand that is doing two-in-one.
Keep your attention on the now empty left hand and the audience
will soon realize that the ball has disapeared. To get out
of this, you do a multi-plex(toss two balls at once), keeping
up the two-in-one hand with the right, and the left catches
it's ball and keeps on circling. Another way to do it is
while you are circling, is to just pick the ball back up.
This is also what happens when you
drop a ball. Your shure of where it went, but when you look
it is not there.
Flashy Kick-up
The Flashy Kick-up is farly easy,
you just have to take a little time to get used to it. Practice
the kick-up by its self, then once you got it down you can
grab you other bags and kick-up into a cascade. Start with
a ball on the floor and pinch it between your heels. Now
jump and kick your feet back and release the ball with your
feet. You will have to experiment with were you have to
release at to get the ball to go over you shoulder. You
should be able to have this down within a couple of days.
Mills Mess
You start with two balls in your
left hand and one in your right. Your left hand throws ball
one ball over the top, then carries ball two throught the
middle to the right of the juggling space. Your hads should
now be crossed in front of you with your right hand on bottom.
The ball 1 should fall in the middle of your crossed arms
at the same time your right had throws ball 3 up the left
side. Then the right had catches ball one that is coming
down the middle. Then your left hand throws ball to back
over the top to the other side, then quickly moves to catch
ball 3. Now your hads should be uncrossed. Now your right
hand tosses ball 1 back to the middle, and catch ball 2
on the left side of the juggling space at the same time
your left hand carries ball 3 under the patern and tosses
it up the right side. Your hands should be crossed again
with the right hand on bottom. After you left hand throws
ball 3 up the side it moves in to catch ball one in the
middle. Then your right hand throws ball 2 over the top
to the right side then catches ball 3. Repeat and you have
mills mess. The big thing about mills mess is the crossing
and un-crossing of the arms.
Over Head Juggling
This is a lot harder than you think.
Start by laying down on your bed or on the floor. You use
the same technique to learn to juggle over head as you did
to learn to juggle, start with one ball and work you way
up. This is harder because you have to push the balls up
instead of being able to toss them up. You still use the
same patern as when you are doing it normally. At first
your tri-cept muscles will burn and you won't be able to
practice for long, but keep it up and you should have it
down in no time.
