| Life, a stage? | ||||
| Have you ever heard the expression "Life is a stage and we are the actors who fill it." Hve you ever actually thought aboput how very true that is? I mean it, really! Every day is a big ipromptu performance by you and the people who comeinto your life that day. Life has Backstage, downstage, upstage stage-right, stage-left. And here is what they are BACKSTAGE: (where props and extra characters are)Where every body that day waits for there chance to have a part in the play.Friends are often known to stand backstage and heer you on, while enemies, often stand there and scowl at you,not doing anything for you except making it harder to go on with what you're doing in life. UPSTAGE: (the part of the stage farthest away from the audience) When you are in the back ground of somebody elses play. You may be the antagonist or the protaginist in that play but either way you're not the main character. DOWNSTAGE: (the part of the stage closest to the audience) When you are the main person and everybody else is upstage. At this point the audience is mostly focused on YOU! ENTERING STAGE RIGHT:(this is basically waking up on the right side of the bed) Coming on stage with a sile on your face. People tend to enjoy the show better if you come on stage here ENETERING STAGE LEFT:(getting up on the wrong side of the bed) Coming on stage not wanting to be there and therefore not being very emphatic about it. People enjoy this less usually. EXITING STAGE RIGHT: (going to bed happy) Leaving the stage feeling satisfied with what you've done that day. Knowing that your audience is satisfied also. EXITING STAGE LEFT: (going to bed irratable) Exiting stage normally thinking that it wasn't a very good show that day and that your audince was tough and didn't appreciate hat you spent so much time perfoming. CLOSING THE CURTAINS: (when you die) The show ends and there are those who applaude you an there are those who scowl t what you did. There will always be a lot more applause than scowls or boos. This is when you find out who really enjoyed the show. It may seem to be a cheezy way to look at life but it really does work! "The answers are getting harder and harder, and there ain't no way to bargain or to barter. Well if you've got the angst I've got the ardor. You might faint from the fight but you're gonna find it, for every chalenge could have paradise behind it. You except what you have lost and you stand tall. You might just back and you can get it all." John Popper |
