| Ooooh time time time. The phrase "we have PLENTY of time" makes me so mad. If only we could have plenty of time. The sick truth is, we have NO time at all. Whatever we manage to salvage during the daily rush, is wasted now-a-days on t.v., computers ( but i like this method of time wasting ), idle chit chat, and the like. Time is the most precious commodity we could ever have. Yet we constantly blow it off for such pointless things!!! GO out and LIVE people!!!! I try to make the most of my time, even if it's sitting on my ass and doing what I think is nothing. I usually plot out this days wacky stunt, or interesting thing to do. Either that or, I read something more or less enlightening. Why read you might ask....well, for one, reading isn't a waste of time, it is a form of using time productively. ( In my opinion anyways. ) What better to do with your so called spare time than further yourself by reading. Enrich your mind, add just a bit of spice ( for you avid soft porn book readers ) and make the most of your imagination! I can never emphasize that enough. We never stop to think when we are young, about how sweet time is, how little we actually have, and how much we throw away. Sad really. As Queen Elizabeth the first said while on her death bed, " All my possessions for a moment of time." I say the same thing, if only I could give something to further my time on the squalid rock. I yearn to explore, ponder, learn, and teach. Sadly, there is never enough time to complete all I want to in life. I have to do what is the most high priority to me, rather than doing it all. Giving up some of my dreams and aspirations to spare time for the most important things I can think of makes me sad in a way. You should never give up a dream, but this is a truth of today. You simply don't have time to do everything you want to do, and I know everyone out there has so much they wish they could do, but know they haven't the time to do it. Yet, immortality isn't craved. Unless we could all live forever, no one wants to be the only one to never die. Quite the paradox really. People yearn to live forever, but yearn to die also. Man's curioustity drives us to do this I believe. I often dream of living forever, simply to see, what will happen in the far future. I also think about what happens after you die. It's not a morbid thought on my part, simply a contemplation, I don't know what I should belive. Every person has a different story on what happens when we pass on. I find all them preposterous and intruiging all at the same time. I accept the fact that time is short. I wish everyone else would. We have the laid back educated derelicts that think they are going to die eventually anyways so why bother, then we have the panicky folk, who rush around trying to get everything done A.S.A,P. adding more stress intot thier lives, which in turn, shortens thier life span. There is no true way to NOT waste time. No matter what, we are losing precious seconds, minutes, and hours. Although we think we are using time well....we aren't. All work and no play after all.....will definitly kill you in the end. Work will be the end of you, play will be the end of you. But unlike you, time never ends. Feel small yet? |
