| Biography |
| I'm currently a graduate student at the University of Texas at Arlingtion. When I complete my studies in the Summer of 2001, I will have earned the Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Specialist Certificate, ESL Endorsement and Master Reading Teacher Certification. I was born and raised in Arlington, Texas. I began my undergraduate studies at UTA, but after a semester, I realized I was ill-prepared for college. I transfered to Tarrant County Junior College to finish my core course studies. The classes were small, the instructors were helpful and I was able to discipline myself academically for all the studying that was required to maintain a quality GPA. After completing my core courses, I attended Mercer University in Macon, Georgia and earned my bachelor's in Education. I remained in Georgia to take on my first role as an elementary teacher. After a year, I returned home to be close to family. I then worked in the Fort Worth ISD where I taught second grade. When I married, I moved to Houston, and I taught in the small district of Crosby, Texas, again teaching second grade. My family and I have returned to Arlington where I've been a stay home mother of two girls and have become a college student once again. |
